Chapter 19

Before I knew it, lunch came around. "Julia hey!" Jordyn shouted waving me over at her table. I set my tray down not planning to eat any of it. I mean, come on. It's school lunch. "Hi" I smiled. "Where are the boys?" She shrugged. "I don't know, there should be here in about 3, 2, 1"
"Calum is here everybody no need to panic because Calum is here." No one said anything for a while until he spoke again. "..I'm Calum by the way"
"Yeah and you're also stupid" Luke slightly shoved Calum sitting next to me. "I figured you wouldn't like the school food here so I got you this" he said sliding over a small cup of strawberry cheesecake ice cream. "BRUH." Jordyn glared moving to sit across from me taking my ice cream. "If you haven't noticed already, we share a lot. So get used to it. " I let out a small laugh. This girl was truly something.
"Guys did you hear about the new kid?!" Michael panted running into the room. "Nope, what about him" I stuffed some ice cream in my mouth. "Hey shareeeeeee" Ashton whined taking the ice cream from my hand. "Luke, why did you have to get such a small-"
"Ashton shut up!" Michael interrupted. "So this new kid......?" I questioned waving the spoon in the air. "Right, well apparently he's from London and he's got a whole bunch of tattoos and piercings"
"So." Jordyn sassed. "Luke has a lip ring and Calum and some tattoos. Even Ash! Who are you to talk?! You have some too!"
Michael just gave her a straight face. "Jordyn. Just shut up. Anyways.....he's got blond hair, I think he dyed it. It probably was brown before. Uh...he's got this whole bad boy look going on. People say he's danger"
"Bullshit. He can't be that bad" Cal retorted. "Whatever, where's the pizza?"
I looked at Luke confused. "Michael knows all of the latest gossip." He explained. I nodded.
The noisy cafeteria became quiet. Well den. My head turned to Jordyn who just mouthed, "What the fuck is going on?"

Everyone's eyes seemed glued to the door. I swiftly did the same. "That's the new kid" Michael whispered. "Niall" I mumbled. Ashton turned to me questionably. "I got to go" I mumbled again walking out the exit.
I heard footsteps behind me. "Julia!"
I recognize the voice. Calum. He jogged up to me. "What happened back there?"
"Well you see, that kid. He wasn't just a new kid. I moved here to Australia because of him. Well that's one of the main reasons I did. He used to bully me a lot. Verbally and physically. We used to be best friends when we were little but all of the sudden he became a monster and still is one." I rambled on some more leaning my head against the locker. When I was finished Calum didn't seem too happy. "I'm gonna murder him" he said under his breath. "No!" I quickly said standing up. "Don't say or do anything to him. I'm gonna try to go unnoticed by him." He nodded understanding.
The bell rang. "Hey why don't we skip the rest of the day. I know it's only you're first day but you have a lot in your mind. We can go to Starbucks down the street if you want. I can call up the others to meet us there."
"Starbucks actually sounds good right now" I laughed.

We got into his car and made out way to Starbucks. "So Julia, how are you liking Australia so far?"
"In all honestly" I start. "It's terrible. The weather here is horrible, everything looks ugly and the people here are rude."

He looks at me as if he were shot.
"I'm kidding!" A sigh of relief washed over his face. "Yeah you better be"
"The weather here is amazing and it's just so beautiful and the people here are so kind" I smile. "That's good"

We pull up to Starbucks. Inside I can already spot Luke. "Hey" I come up behind him. He turns around, "about time". "How'd you get here so quickly?" I questioned. "Because Luke has super powers" Michael chimes in as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I order my mocha cookie crumble and join the rest.
Everyone was here except Ashton.

"So Julia, what happened back there" Jordyn refers to the cafeteria. "Uh well-" Calum squeezes my arm gently. He could probably tell my nervousness. He goes on explaining the story and everything not forgetting one detail. By the time he was finished everyone looked pretty pissed. "THAT FUCKING PRICK!" Jordyn stands. "Jordyn!" I hiss looking around to see everyone staring at us. I look at my phone.

School just ended. "Do you guys want to go back to my place and watch a movie?" Michael asks. "You guys go ahead. Julia and I are gonna hang out back at her place" Jordyn stands picking up her latte.

"See you guys tomorrow" I wave.
"Bye" they say in unison.

We get into Jordyn's car and she still looks pretty pissed. "You okay?" I ask.
"No. Why the hell would anyone mess with you like that?! That's some bullshit right there." She gripped the steering wheel tighter. "I'll just have to avoid him." I shrug. "Julia you know he's gonna see you sooner or later and you have to be prepared-"
"Can we talk about this some other time" I whine. Jordyn huffs in defeat. "Fine"

We pull up to my house. "What do you want to do first?" I ask. "We can watch a movie" she suggests. "Ew no."
She turns her head facing the patio.
"Let's go swimming!" She runs upstairs to grab one of my bathing suits. "Wait" I pull her arm back"
"Let's go to the beach instead"
She nods and smiles. "I'll go call the boys" she skips up the the stairs. "So much for the two of us hanging out" I say loud enough for her to hear. She laughs.

My dad walks through the door. "Hey sweetie."
"Hi. I'm just gonna head to the beach with Jordyn"
He gives me a questioning look. "She's a friend I made today"
He nods understanding.

"Jordyn let's go!" I yell. "I'm coming! Jee calm your tits!" She shouts. I through on my black bikini and she wears my mint green one. I grab a bag and we get into her car.

The beach was literally five minutes away. I jump out the car to look for the boys. Calum spots me and smiles. Jordyn runs over to join the group. He walks over to me. "Julia, uh, I know you're not gonna be happy about this but he's here."

It took me a while to process everything. "Niall?"
He nods. "Who invited him?" I asked.
"Ashton, he wasn't there at Starbucks remember"
I nod. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna let him do anything to you. Even though we just met, you're like my little sister" he smiles. "Thanks and I suppose you're my big brother I never had" I laugh.

We walk back to wear everyone was sitting. "Hey Julia" Ashton says. I give a small wave. "This is my friend Niall, he's new here." I look up to see him smirking at me. "Long time no see?"
"Wait. You guys know each other" Ashton looks really confused right now. "Yup. Julia and I go way back. Don't we?"
"Yeah, sure" I say sarcastically.
"Well" Ashton claps his hands. "I'm glad we can all get along.

I look over at Jordyn and Calum. If looks could kill, Niall would be dead.
