Chapter 16

Niall's POV

Okay, what the hell was that?! When did Julia build that kind of confidence? It's surprising but I don't like it.

After that whole thing happened in the hall I went straight to class with Holly clinging on to me.

Ugh.

I swear she might as well rip my arm from all that tugging. The bell rings signaling class has now began.

Ten minutes later there was a knock that interrupted class. A boy about my age walked in.

"Who are you" Mr. Henley says flatly. I swear he has no emotion. "Calum, Calum Hood"

"Are you new?"

"Yeah I got lost an-"

"Sit down I don't need to hear your life story" Mr. Henley cut him off.

I scoffed at his action, what an asshole.

Girls were eyeing him already. He isn't ugly. But I have a better face right?

...

Right?!?

I just ended up tuning the class out.

Julia's POV

First period had ended. We had a new student, Calum I think his name was?

He had a really nice accent and he's hot. Not gonna lie there. I just really hope he isn't one of those ass holes.

I had science next. Ugh I hate this class it's not even funny. I took my normal seat in the back next to Harry. I was copying notes until the teacher got a call.

My dad.

Oh shit.

Okay so I'm now walking down the hall with Harry and my heart is beating out of chest.

"Harry"

He turned to face me. "I-I can't go in there."

"Hey it's okay, I'll be there right next to you" he cooed poking my cheek. That made a small smile appear onto my face.

I walk into the office to be faced with a man I haven't seen before. "Julia! sweetie!" he engulfs me into a hug.

That voice.

I look up to see a man I haven't seen in years.

My actual father.

He was in a business suit, no smell of alcohol or smoke. Eyes aren't bloodshot. Hair put into a small quiff. He looks significant.

"What happened?" I ask in shock still processing what I'm seeing.

"What are you talking about ya silly goose?" he laughed. "Pack your bags, we're moving to Australia!" he clapped and beamed. "We leave tomorrow, that is why we have to go and pack."

I couldn't speak. It's not like I have friends here anyways. Australia would be a new place to get a fresh start.

But what if this is all just an act? What if he just sells me to one of his "friends" in Australia. I don't even know for a fact if we are going to Australia. He could just take me to an ally and beat me to death. I don't know who this man in front of me is but I'm not getting a good vibe from him.

"I-I um. Uh.." I honestly didn't know what to say.

"I can pick you up from school later today"

I shook my head quickly. "No." He titled his head to the side in confusion. Harry was gone by now. The office lady told him to get back to class. "No" I said again, this time taking small steps backward. "You can go without me" I made my way to the door. "Julia" I hear probably for the last time. I turn around to be handed a phone. An iPhone. And with that he walked passed me without saying another word.

I shook my head shocked at what happened. But next thing you know it I'm faced with the ground as soon as I walk out the office.

"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" That accent. I've never heard anything like it but it sounds similar to the boy Calum's this morning. I look up to see a VERY attractive guy. I weakly smile getting up. What period is it? I hadn't heard the bell ring. Walking away I hear the same voice. "I'm Ashton by the way". I smile to myself slightly shaking my head as I continue walking. "Julia" I call back without turning around.

It's the fourth day and there's already drama. I'm just like NOPE. I DONT LIKE YOU PEOPLE. DONT TALK TO ME.
