My dad gently shook me awake. "We're about to land." I nodded still half asleep. My body ached and I just wanted to sleep some more. I strapped on the seat belt. That's when all the thoughts came swarming in. 'Maybe people will actually like me here. Maybe I won't get bullied. I won't have to deal with Niall, Louis, Zayn, or Holly! Maybe I'll actually have some friends'.
I was excited. I really was. It's a new life. Time to start off fresh. Australia was warm considering it's November in 'Merica. I take in the foreign yet beautiful scent. "Taxi's here!" my dad called out. I skipped to the cab buckling my seatbelt as my dad directed the cab driver to our new house.
I'm excited to start school. I'm excited to meet new people. I'm excited to see the new house! The drive was about twenty minutes long. I jumped out of the yellow car and grabbed my bags running inside to find my room.
Dashing up the stairs I noticed how spacious and huge everything was. My eyes finally landed on a light purple room. I smiled at it. No time for packing. I need to get some new clothes for tomorrow. And plus, I'm too lazy.
"Dad, I'm heading out to the mall to get some clothes for school tomorrow, is that okay?" I question. "Yeah that's fine, take these, the car is up front." I took the car keys practically running out the door. I saw the mall on our way to the house and it was huge.
It was shorter than I thought it would be. First stop: American Apparel. I looked around for some jeans. I especially loved the jeans here. I have enough underwear from here anyways. Walking out and too the Starbucks located in the food court I got a text from Niall.
'Where were you all day?'
Psh. I don't need to respond to you. Wait, how did he even get my number? And how was it already saved as him?
I pushed the thought aside. "Hi can I get a mocha cookie crumble?" I asked. "Yeah sure" The boy behind the register replied. He grabbed the cup in one hand and a sharpie in the other. "Name?"
"Julia"
"Number?"
"Not happening" I laughed.
"Didn't think so but it was worth a shot" he smiled.
"I'm Luke"
"Nice to meet you" I say grabbing my drink. "Wait don't I need to pay?"
"Nah, I got it covered"
"Thank you but you really didn't have to"
"But I wanted too" he bit his lip. HOLY SHIT THAT WAS HOT AND HE HAS A LIP RING!!
"Can I sit with you? I'm on my break."
"Yeah sure"
"So Julia" He started. "You're from America? I can tell by the accent." I nodded slightly chuckling. "Yeah I start school here tomorrow so I thought about getting some new clothes" I say taking a sip. "Really? What school?"
"I honestly don't even know" I reply looking down, my cheeks flushed red from embarrassment, "I just got here in Sydney like an hour ago"
"Oh I see, well I hope you're going to the same school with me" I nodded agreeing with him.
"Phone" I demanded stretching my hand out. Luke slowly gave me his phone obviously confused. I typed away my number sending a message to my phone and adding my name as
'Hottest girl ever to be seen at Starbucks'
I handed his phone back to him smiling to myself. He smiled as well. "Nice name" he smirked. "I do try"
