Kat

The next day at school, Peter was trying to break into the gun thing and get the glowy thing out.
"Thanks for baling on me last night. We're still losers by the way." Ned said.
"Sorry, we got a little busy." Peter said as my eyebrows shot up. "Not what I meant!" He exclaimed as I laughed softly and shook my head.
"What's that?" Ned asked.
"I don't know." I glanced at it.
"We'll go to the science lab after and take some tests on it." Ned said as they did their handshake.
"Hey, I have to get to the music room. The teacher is making us preform an original piece today, and I haven't even written anything yet. Tell me how it goes." I waved before I rushed to the empty music room to write a new song.

"Performance time! I hope you're all prepared." The teacher said as everyone went, and then it was my turn. Because I was last, I had a lot of pressure on me, but I let out a breath and walked onto the stage.
"This song is called Sparks Fly." I said into the microphone as I started to play my guitar and sing.

"That was wonderful, Ms. Stark!" The music teacher said before the bell rang and I walked out to find Peter and Ned.

"This is so awesome." Ned said as he watch the hologram that was tracking the man the shot at Peter and I.
"You two are so weird." I shook my head as I made dinner at my place. "So May said it was ok for you to sleep over?" I asked as I stirred the Fettuccine alfredo.
"Yeah, and Ned's parents are ok with it as well." Peter said as they continued to watch.
"Well, I've got 4 bedrooms in here. The only one you can't take is the red door. That's Tony's room when he wants to stay over here with me." I smiled softly.
"Does he do that often?" Ned asked.
"Sometimes. He usually only does it when he's had a long day and just wants to chill and watch movies with me." I smiled softly.
"What kind of movies?" Peter asked.
"It was my turn to pick a movie last time, so we watched 50 First Dates. It's a romcom and one of my favorites." I grinned.
"Did he like it?" Ned laughed.
"Yeah, actually. Don't laugh, it could have been Mamma Mia. My dad and my uncle once kicked me out so they could watch the movie." I laughed as Ned started to bust up laughing.
"Wow." Peter said as I finished cooking and handed them some.
"This is amazing! What did you put in it?" Ned asked as he ate some.
"It's a secret." I put my finger to my lips.
"Is it love?" Peter laughed as he put another forkful into his mouth.
"Maybe a little. It's actually garlic, onion, sea salt, and pepper." I smiled softly.
"How much?" Ned asked.
"Well, as much needed to make it taste good. My dad told me that the best made things almost never have a recipe." I smiled softly as I twisted the ring he gave me before he died.
"He sounds really cool." Peter put his hand on mine.
"He was the best, not a day goes by, that I don't think of him." I smiled.
"Hey, not trying to jump from this topic, but Peter and I heard you sing." Ned said as my face burned.
"You what?" I asked.
"Yeah, we got bored so we walked over to the music room and heard your song... who did you write that for?" He asked.
"It's just a song, not anything too special." I waved them off.
"It was beautiful, it had to be for someone." Ned pushed.
"Ok, fine. I wrote it about the first time I 'fell in love.' It was super cliche, and I was like 6 years old at the time. I wrote it trying to remember what innocent love I thought I had with a boy who didn't even like me, like, in the slightest." I laughed rolling my eyes.
"How can someone not like you?" Peter asked.
"You'd be surprised by how many people hate me." I shook my head. "I'm going to get dressed, I'll be right back." I said before I walked into my bathroom. "If only you knew, Parker. If only you knew." I mumbled to myself as I pulled on my pjs.

"If only I knew what, Kat?" Peter grinned.
"That's for me to know and you to find out, now isn't it?" I sassed as I pulled my hair up into a messy ponytail.
"I've never seen you so casually dressed before." Ned said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, you always do your hair, and wear pretty business casual clothes, so seeing you in something loose is really different." Peter added.
"Bad different? Because I don't know many people who wear something tight to bed. Also, I'm at home, I can wear whatever I'd like." I sassed.
"Definitely not a bad different, just different." Peter said.
"Hey, off topic, but they stopped." Ned said.
"Cool, where are they?" I asked.
"Maryland." He replied. "How are you guys going to get to Maryland?"
"Well, it's not too far from D.C." Peter pointed out before we called it a night and went to sleep.
