Chapter Thirteen: New Beginnings

DRACO'S POV

I couldn't breathe; I watched as Bellatrix stepped forward and grabbed her by her back and hoisted her up; she groaned and that's when I saw how bad she looked. She looked like she had been tortured; her eyes locked with mine once more and I saw tears running down her face. Her mouth had a cloth stuffed and wrapped around her so she couldn't talk. I tried running forward but was held back by Blaise. Voldemort smiled as he walked over to her; grabbing her face and moving it from left to right,

"Do you know who this is Draco?" I felt a tear fall as I refused to answer; by now everyone was looking at me.

"Apparently Bellatrix saw you with her one day; it was around Easter time do you remember that" the rustle of the trees I thought, I knew there was someone watching us.

"But that's not the only thing she told us" I shook my head; don't say it.

"She told us she's a Muggle Draco does that ring any bells?" I saw Granger look at me with wide eyes at the corner of my eye but I ignored it. I looked away from Voldemort and just stared at Bria; god I was so stupid I should've never brought her into my life. I saw my father glaring at me; I knew he would be upset; but why can't I just be happy with her?

"Go to hell you bastard" I whispered; hoping he wouldn't hear it; it seemed that I was having bad luck because I saw him frown as he stepped closer to Bria. I moved closer to see what he was doing but Blaise still had his hold on me.

"I hate to have to do this to you Draco but you just don't learn" he lifted his wand and pointed it at her; her eyes widened as she shrunk lower to the ground. That's when I snapped; I ran forward; shoving Blaise out of the way and took my wand out; pointing it at Voldemort.

"Stop, I'll do whatever you want. I'll join you and I will stay loyal to you forever just please promise you won't hurt her" my voice cracked as another tear fell; I couldn't what I would do if I was the reason why she got killed. He smirked and nodded once but Bria shook her head wildly; her hair sticking to her face.

"Mhmmmhhmm" she tried to talk but I couldn't understand; she looked at me as if pleading not to go to him. I just smiled and dropped my arm to my side and slowly walked over to my parents. My father took me by my arms and my mother whispered things in my ear; though I wasn't paying attention to them; I was waiting for Voldemort to let Bria go. But, to my dismay he only pressed his wand to her forehead. She was shaking like a leaf now as she closed her eyes; no, I said I would join him!

"No! what are you doing?! I joined you what more do you want?!"

"Draco when will you learn? She knows too much of this world; she needs to be dealt with" my eyes widened as I leaped forward but my father grabbed me by the collar and held me back; my mother saying that it was all going to be okay.

I watched as he looked at Bria and smirked; she looked over at me and looked down; accepting her fate. Everything felt as if it were in slow motion. Everyone was going to watch Voldmeort kill the love of my life. Why wasn't anyone doing anything?!

"Avada Kad-"

"-Expelliarmus!" a spell shot by me and I looked over; watching in shock as Potter rolled out of Hagrid's arms. I heard Voldemort yell out in anger as Death Eaters around me shot spells at him; narrowly getting missed by some as he ran around the corner.

"NO, NO ONE TOUCH HIM HE'S MINE" I watched as he ran after Potter; leaving Bria unattended. That's when all hell broke loose; some death eaters aparated away out of fear while some ran off to finish what they started. I ripped my arms away from my mother and father who yelled at me to come back. I dropped to my knees and untied the wrap around her mouth; she breathed in; having a bit of trouble because of how bunched up the cloth was. I had just freed her of her chains with a spell when she was lifted up by Bellatrix; I pointed my wand at her; I wasn't about to lose her again.
