"Get up, brats! Its time for survival day!" Mrs. Willow's voice echoed throughout the building from the speakers.
A plump woman with a mixed accent. She always wore a frilly skirt with a tight collared blouse and an apron. She looked like a hostel warden from the 80s.
"Wake up, Zeph! The water's about to stop running!" Marie's voice woke up the girl who was peacefully sleeping with her teddy clutched to her chest.
"Get up, you freak! Your little friend wants to play." Victoria's mocking voice echoed throughout the dorm as she spashed water on Zephany's face, soaking her completely.
She woke up startled, water splattering from her mouth and nose, her bed a complete wet mess.
"You're awake! Thank you, Victoria." Marie clapped with a wide grin on her face.
Zephany grabbed Marie's hands, stopping her from clapping, but couldn't do much about the beaming smile on her face.
"Did you shower?" Zephany asked Marie.
She nodded her head.
"Brush your teeth?"
She showed her teeth while pointing at them with her fore finger.
"I did! Now you have to." She cheered as she jumped off the bed and brought Zephany's towel from the shared wardrobe.
RIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNG!
The shrill sound of the bell rang, signalling the end for the water hour.
"There's no water now. Zeph will have to be smelly for another day." Marie pouted with a frown on her face.
"Its alright May." Zephany said while popping a piece of gum into her mouth.
"Gum can do wonders to your teeth that even toothpaste can't." She ruffled Marie's hair and went on to changing her clothes.
"Close your nose." Zephany warned as she showered in deodrant.
Marie picked up her dinosaur plushie, "Its time for another Survival day. I wish I get picked, but I dont want to be away from you!" She whined.
"Horny will give you a good luck kiss!" Marie exclaimed, pushing the dino plushie onto Zephany's face in a kiss.
"You can't name you dino 'Horny' May." Zephany shook her head as they walked towards the main hall..
