"AAAAAHHH!" Zephany screamed in agony as the whip collided with the skin on her back. The pain seared into her bones and created a lasting effect on her mind.
Her already fragile and unstable mind was injured to such an extent that, the only thing keeping her sane and stopping her from going berserk from the pain, ironically was the pain itself.
Her emotions and feelings all had already erupted in that black hole of a heart and came out in the form of agony filled screams. Those screams were enough to scar any sane person's mind, but she was sure that anyone who worked in Faux Mental Asylum wasn't sane.
"B-blergh-ugh-h-" She spit out the blood that came hurling through her throat, on the man who was whipping her for the past fifteen minutes.
She put on a sadistic smile. The sight of the disgusted man wiping of her blood, somehow brought happiness to her.
"Fucking bitch!" The man exclaimed as he whipped her again, scarring her already scarred back. Another red stripe was added to the collection on her back. The first whips had already turned purple, numbing the senses on her back.
She no longer felt the pain. This thought as much as it scared her gave her a sense of comfort. It gave her hope of blocking out the pain in her life. This is how people went insane, the thought of blocking the pain with numbness was so inviting that it could destroy perfectly perfect people and create perfectly imperfect people.
Might sound confusing, but it is very much true.
"Ugh-h! D-dumba-ass, you t-think you can-" She spit out more blood before she could even complete her sentence.
She forcefully grabbed at the handcuffs binding her from the ceiling. She didn't have a pin to unlock them this time. But if she could, then there wouldn't be two people in this room, one would already be dead.
She voilently shook the chains rattling the hooks that were holding the chains from the ceiling.
The handcuffs dug into her wrists, creating unecessary marks and opening the cuts that hadn't yet completely healed.
The adrenaline rush in her body made her forget about all of the pain and agony her body ws facing.
She no longer belonged to the physical realm, she was completely lost in her own world created in her mind. She vanished in that unrealistic world of her where she was the King.
She never liked being called a Queen or any thing that signified a female figure that handled power. Male power was more dominant in this world than female power, as much as she didn't like thinking in this manner it was true.
She was the King and she imagined herself as a camera lens.
A camera lens that could find the depths of any mystery, she ruled over her kingdom by looking at them. She believed that the eyes could never be lied to. Controversial but brave.
Now, she witnessed the horrifying death of the man who was whipping her already numb back. She was a person who loved gore scenes. That would signify why she depicted the death of that man as a ghoul eating his intestines, blood splattered on his face and he looked up when he felt the King's gaze.
She had a vision for how every person would die. Every person she hated even her parents and they were something beyond imagination.
She was pulled back into the physical realm and away from the mystical kingdom she had created in her mind, when she fell to the floor, due the impact of the man removing her handcuffs.
"Take her away. Put her back in her room." The man's voice echoed through the empty room as he gestured the nurse to come and take Zephany away.
Zephany was fighting on the brink of consciousness, but her body won this time. She was showered in exhaustion as she fell to the floor and imediately passed out from all the pain and mental abuse.
It was one place where she could relieve herself of all the emotions and feelings. It was one place where she didn't think of killing herself or anyone else. Ironically it was the one place that was the closest to death.
Unconsciousness.
