BETWEEN THE LINES chapter - 16

At the island's evacuation center..

Teresa raised her head to look at the dark blue sky on a hilltop. She was sitting on a wooden bench with marks of hearts and numbers, it was a couples spot.

The hilltop was made to be a public place because of its beautiful spot for star gazing at night. She wants to forget the monster she saw at the basement by looking at the wonders of the universe.

"Teresa!!-".

Teresa turned her head towards the shout.

"I've been looking everywhere for you-". Said a girl with a bondage around her feet but walked fine.

"I was just taking some fresh air-". Said teresa.

The girl looked up and stared at the sky. Billion of stars shined above, there was no clouds to hide the stars. Teresa moved her eyes at the cluster of stars with violet and red star dusts.

Then teresa looked at the evacuation center were they have been safetly moved after the chaos at the MPU's basement. It was a huge stadium, white, green, and red lights emitting from the top of it, signaling everyone that it was the safest place in the island.

"Faye. What do you think happened to those soldiers?-". Said teresa.

"Huh?-" Teresa noticed her friend staring at her.

"O-oh. You mean the soldiers who helped us?-". Said faye.

"Hhmm. You think they found lacie and the new transfer student?-". Said teresa while she raised her head to look at the beautiful night sky.

"Hmmm. I don't know maybe there in the army's base.-" said faye.

"Hey teresa-".

"Hmm?-". Teresa looked at her friend.

"Do you think the news is all true? You know about lacie bein-".

"No. For all i know that good for nothing wimp is just an ordinary student". Teresa putting a period on her tone.

"I know you teresa. We've been together for more than 3 years now. I know how you look when lacie's around, you like him don't you? Well always teased and insulted him. But deep inside you like him-". Said faye.

"I-I don't like him faye! -" . Teresa can feel her face turning pink.

"Teresa you have a crush on someone?".

Teresa and faye was startled and almost jumped from where they were sitting because of a low male voice that intruded their conversation. They both looked behind.

"R-Riley?! Oh gosh! You scared the hell out of us." Said teresa putting her hand on her heart place.

The guy named riley walked at the hilltop.

"Hey riley-".

"Sup faye!-" the guy raised his hand.

Teresa looked at faye's face and it appeares to be blushing.

Teresa could understand faye's reaction. Riley was one of the hottest guys in the university with his well built body, tall height, fair skin, and with short unshaved facial hair that made him look handsome and sexy and to top of it all he is one of the top students in the university. The three of them were the bestest friends inside the campus since she started college. But she knows faye has always had a crush on riley. But she wouldn't mind even if the two of them got together they are gonna be the perfect couple because faye is the university's beauty queen. She was the only one in their group who doesn't have a name in their campus. but that's ok because she never imagined herself being one of the elite's in the university.
