MEETING YOUR ANCESTORS chapter - 29

Robert stared at the big picture frame on the wall of james's office while teresa and dorothy sat at the office couch. The three of them tried everything to get a chance to talk to lacie's father but it was imposible until a day ago when the news anounced the general meeting of the universe's powerful companies for the upcoming galaxy innovator. They grabbed their chance with the help of lisa who gave them V.I.P passes. The three couldn't guess on how the girl did it but talking to lacie's father was far more important than that.

Creak..

James entered the room with a serious look on his face.

"You kids should be studying for the upcoming exams". Said James with authority.

"We have no school to begin with sir so how can we study? But that's not what we came here for sir". Said robert with a serious expression.

James then scanned robert who was sweating like a pig when he entered the room then the two girls that seems to have no sleep for the past days.

"You kids on drugs?". Said james with his arms crossed.

"No- No- Absolutely not-". Said the three teenagers at the same time.

"Sir we have something to give you. someone left it for you. I think its a clue to where to find lacie". Robert reached for his pocket then gave it to james.

James was in a cold sweat, eyes widened.

"W-Who gave you this?". Said james.

"Uhh well we don't know, it appeared at my house's doorstep. But my neighbors told me a girl was standing in front my house before that appeared". Said teresa.

James couldn't believe on what he was holding he felt his body hair standing up. A small shiny black triangle with a carved sun at the middle. He quickly reached for his phone.

"Joe! I need you to alert all the innovators right away! And tell erik and jun to escort alice back to the base right away! Bring project mocking bird back as well! We are on red alert!.... .. don't worry about me I have someone to escort me back." James ended the call then grabbed his coat to wrapped the shiny triangle.

"Sir?-".

"Did anybody else see it? Just the three of you? Have you told anyone else about this thing? Neighbors, friends?, family members?". Said james while getting ready to leave.

"Uh -". Robert almost answered.

"Nobody else. Only friends, seven of us.". Said teresa still looking a bit worried on what's happening.

"Where are they now? Call them and tell them to never go out. Understand? Wait until we pick them up-".

"Woah! What's going on sir?-". Said robert.

James then hesitated if he should tell the teenagers the situation. He looked at dorothy who seems to be confused and worried.

"You kids shouldn't have picked this up.. But Thank you.. Now i know where to find my son". Said james with a sincere look.

Robert nodded but still it was unclear to the three of them on what was going on.

"Call the others now. Tell them to stay at their houses and wait for us." Robert ordered the two girls then turn his head towards james.

James finished packing his files in a white briefcase.

Creak!-

The door swung open, then a man with a black coat went in. Robert stared at the newcomer.

'I know this guy I've seen him somewhere'. Robert said to himself.

"Gerald. Good timing lets go." Said james.
