"If I'm a bad person

You don't like me

Well I guess I'll make my own way.

It's a circle,

A mean cycle

I can't excite you anymore.

Where's your gavel, your jury

What's my offence this time?

You're not a judge,

But if you're gonna judge me

Well sentence me to another life.

Don't wanna hear your sad songs,

I don't want to feel your pain.

You know it's not my fault

Cause you know we're not the same.

We're not the same.

Oh, we're not the same."

Ashton sang the lyrics loudly, but his voice could not be heard over the blaring music. He screamed each line out, feeling all the tension, the immense stress, flowing out of him along with the words.

"You treat me just like

Another stranger.

Well, it's nice to meet you sir

I guess I'll go,

I'll best be on my way out.

Ignorance is your new best friend.

Ignorance is your new best friend.

Ignorance is your new best friend.

Ignorance is your new best friend."

He throat was raw and it hurt but he ignored the stinging pain. It was nothing to what he felt inside him. He felt empty but over filled at the same time, his insides freezing yet on fire, his mind clear but fuzzy. Ashton was a walking contradiction but he couldn't have loved it more.

The boy buzzed with excitement as he pranced about his room. He felt safe in this little area. The outside world could not affect him as long as he stayed nicely tucked away inside this room. The song creating a perfect broken peace. Ashton went over to his half set up drum kit and banged wildly on them as the song played on.

Then, his phone went off. Ashton happily skipped over to it and clicked open the lock screen.

From: Lucas
Hey can I come over to practise

Ashton clicked it off and ignored the message. Luke would not ruin his free time now.

The song played for a few more seconds before changing.

"My ship went down

In a sea of sound

When I woke up alone,

I had everything.

A handful of moments

I wished I could change

And a tongue like a nightmare

That cut like a blade."

Ashton frowned at the selected song that came on. Before he could change it, though, his phone buzzed again. Ashton sighed and checked it.
