Kissing Luke was definitely not as bad as kissing Calum but still pretty weird, Ashton thought. It wasn't weird in the sense that he was a bad kisser it was just very new and something Ashton had never experienced. But he liked it. He liked it quite a lot. And every second it lasted sent more and more sparks shooting through him. Ashton felt like a firecracker on New Year's Ever. And Luke had just set him off at midnight.
Luke's lips weren't exactly soft but that made it better. They were partly dry and Ashton could feel scabs on them from where Luke had bit on his lip too hard, but they still felt like heaven against Ashton's(who were pretty dry as well). Luke cupped his face in both hands, Ashton putting his hands over Luke's as he finally kissed him back.
It wasn't heated like Calum's and Ashton's. It was sweet. There was no eagerness or sexual frustration laced in it but more tenderness an caring. Like Luke wanted to put all his unsaid feelings into the kiss. All his regret and misunderstanding. All the sleepless nights with choked sobs filling the air and tears dampening his pillow. All the looks of jealousy, longing, and fondness. All the times he wanted to apologise and he didn't. All into this one kiss.
This kiss felt like his last chance.
Luke eventually released Ashton, stepping back quickly.
"I-I'm so s-s-sorry. I jus-" He began but Ashton cut him off, throwing his arms around Luke's neck and pulling him for another kiss.
It was quick, though, and Ashton pulled away, smiling widely.
"It's okay." He assured.
Luke let out a breath he hadn't realise he was holding. He wrapped his hands around Ashton's waist and nuzzled his head into his neck.
"This, in no way, means you're forgiven for the shit you put me through." Ashton said as he carded his hands through the back of Luke's hair.
"I know," Luke said, planting a kiss on his neck.
"And you have to apologise to everyone else."
"I know," He said as he planted more kisses.
"And you need to personally apologise to Calum."
"Hmm," Luke began to suck on Ashton's neck.
Ashton's breath hitched but he wasn't finished, "A-And we'll need t-to talk about all this. Like, really talk, Luke."
"Okay. Anything other requests, princess?" Luke asked, leaving one last kiss on Ashton's jaw before facing him again.
Ashton looked him in the eye.
"You need to not be ashamed of me. You're going to tell everyone about us."
Luke smiled, "Of course."
Then he kissed Ashton again.

Luke and Ashton walked back to the classroom with their hands intertwined. Luke took a deep breath as they approached the classroom."You ready?" Ashton asked, stopping just outside the door.
Luke smiled weakly at him. "No. But I never will be so might as well get it over with."
"It's not that bad, Luke. People will accept you, I swear." Ashton tried to reason with him.
"It's okay if they don't. As long as I got you, Ash."
Ashton grinned, "Yeah. I'm pretty amazing aren't I?"
Luke rolled his eyes, "You're getting full of yourself too quickly."
"Hope I get full of you quicker." Ashton mumbled.
Luke gasped, he was about to say something but Ashton suddenly flung open the door and walked inside, dragging Luke behind him. The whole class stopped what they were doing and looked at them. Luke immediately tensed up, squeezing Ashton's hand harshly as his whole face blushed bright red. Ashton rubbed Luke's hand with his thumb as he stepped forward into the class. Everyone was still watching them silently as they walked over to Calum and Michael.
