"What did you say boy? Are you sure that is her?" He questioned. Who do they think I am, this Ivy person? Who is she?

"Yes dad, of course I'm sure! We were together before she went missing." the old man was Charlie's dad? That would make sense with how they were talking to casually to each other. What did he mean when he said that we were together? Was he with me when I went missing or were we lovers?

Charlie quickly made his way over to me and tried to grab my hand. I yanked my hand away. I don't know this guy, I don't want him touching me. Did he say that I was kidnapped? So I wasn't in prison for committing some horrible crime? But the question still stands, why can't I remember anything before waking up in that cell.

"Ivy, it's me Charlie remember? We thought you were dead. Have you been in that prison this whole time?" Charlie looks as if he is going to cry and everyone else is looking at me for a response. I'm going to have to say something.

"I don't know who you are," I manage to gargle out. My throat feels dry and scratchy. It has been so long since I've talked.

"What do you mean you don't know who I am? We were dating before you went missing,"Charlie's eyes started to water. Oh, so we were together romantically before I was taken.

"I don't remember anything before waking up in my cell over five years ago," my voice was deep and scratchy as I spoke.

The room erupted into utter chaos at that moment. Yelling was happening, papers were flying, and chairs were being knocked over as people were standing up in such a haste trying to get their voice heard. Through the chaos I was able to pick up a sentence here and there.

"I told you they were experimenting on us!"

"Why did you they keep her alive or better yet how is she still alive?"

"ENOUGH," someone with a deep voice yelled. Glancing towards the voice I see a young man with black hair and almost pitch black eyes. He seems like the dark and brooding type of guy with that scowl on his face.

" She just stated what we already knew. They are experimenting on us to see if they can turn us into one of them. So far, they have not succeeded and anyone who was experimented on has ended up dead," he said casually, crossing his arms and leaning up against the wall.

"Then why is she not dead?" a random person from the crowded table asked.

Black hair guy paused, turned and looked me in the eye and says "I have no idea," and then turns and walks out of the building.

"I'm going to dismiss this meeting. Quinn take our quests to the hall and help them get settled. Get their information as well, see if we can't get them home if they don't wish to stay here. Ivy you're gonna come with me and we are going to talk privately," old man said. He stands and beckons me to follow him.

I make my way towards him and I could feel everyone's eyes follow me. It's nerve wracking to meet new people while you don't know who you are, but to have all these eyes on me makes my heart skip a beat. Old man leads me into a back room and shuts the door, but not before Charlie slips in behind us. Old man looked as if he was going to say something but Charlie beat him to it.

"I just got her back after thinking she was dead for the past five years. I am not going to leave her side," Charlie plunks his butt down in a chair after his last sentence and as if to make a point stretches out his legs and crosses his ankles.

Old man sighs and sits behind the wooden desk that is in the middle of the room. He gestures for me to sit in a chair in front of his desk that wasn't already occupied by Charlie.
