You had just turned 15 when you first entered the shadow markets in the lowest levels of Mistral, mom had always told you to stay away from here but living in the upper levels of the kingdom was boring, architecture, theater and fashion held no interest to you but in the shadow markets through the haze it was like a whole new world.

You: (walking through the streets) So this is the Shadow market district?

???: (calling out) Best head home kid, this ain't no place for a schoolboy.

You turned to see a man sitting cross legged on a rug surrounded by different quantities of dust vials. He had a large scar going down his face just over his eye.

You: Who says I'm a schoolboy?

Man: (chuckles) Kids like you come down here all the time, thinking they'll tackle the underworld so they can brag about it at the academy. (Stern) Do yourself a favor and leave before you get hurt or worse.

You: Heh well I'm not here to tackle anything, I'm looking for someone.

Man: And who could a kid be looking for that they'd have to come all the way down here?

You: (smirks) That my good sir, is none of your business.

Man: (laughs out loud) Your pretty ballsy kid, what's your name?

You hesitated and thought about lying but somehow you felt that it would be pointless to lie.

You: Name's Y/n L/n.

Man: (surprised) L/n?

You: Yeah is that a problem?

The man chuckles and shakes his head side to side before standing up, you took a step back realizing how tall he was. You guessed he was a little over seven feet tall and even more to your surprise was the long thick green lizard tail he had.

Man: Not at all kid, if your looking for information on finding someone then you should go talk to Lil Miss Malachite.

He points you in the direction of a bar down the way.

You: Lil miss Malachite?

Man: Yeah and word of warning be respectful, otherwise you might not make it back home in one piece.

You: (nods) got it (starts to walk off before looking back) I don't think I got your name.

Gosha:(smiles) Gosha, Gosha the dust merchant.

You: Well nice to meet you Gosha. (Walks away while waving)

Gosha: (to self) L/n Huh?

You walked until you got to the bar that Gosha pointed out to you, once inside you looked around. The bar was pretty empty with the exception of the bartender and a few tables of people drinking.

You: (walking up to Bartender) I'm looking for Lil miss Malachite.

The bar goes silent, you could feel all the bar Patreon's eyes on you but you didn't look back.
