Later that night you found it difficult to stay asleep, both your team and team RWBY had already turned in for the night with the exception of Yang who was taking her turn at watch. Walking over to Yang, her hair was blowing in the night breeze as she stared out at the ruined city. As you got closer you could see that depressed look on her face.

You:(sitting down next to her) You know if you want I can take over watch duty for you.

Yang: (surprised) Y/n what are you doing up?

You: (shrugs) Couldn't sleep, ended up thinking about some of life's greatest questions.

Yang: Huh, like what?

You: Do penguins have knees?

You glanced over at her expecting at least a chuckle but you got nothing, instead she looks down somberly.

You: Ty told me about what Oobleck asked all of you.

Yang: (sadly) Y/n.... why do you want to be a huntsmen?

You: (Shrugs) Who knows, if I had to pick a reason then I guess it'd be for the excitement.

Yang: Is that a serious answer?

You: Sure, Do you really need to have a grand motive to wanna be a huntsman? I decided I wanted to be one so that's what I'll do.

Yang ponders your words while still looking down. Annoyed by this you pinch her cheeks making her jump.

Yang: (Rubs cheek) Ouch! What was that for?

You: This whole brooding thing doesn't suit you. (Grins) Wouldn't want you getting wrinkles from stressing.

Yang: (laughs) Shut up.

You: There's the smile I fell for.

Yang: (smiles and rolls her eyes) I think my shift is over. (Kisses your cheek) Thanks for the pep talk, it helped.

You: (smiles) Anytime love.

Yang smiles at you as she gets up and goes back over to where the others are sleeping. From the other room you could hear her calling out.

Yang: Has anyone seen Ruby?

Oobleck: What?

You: Could've sworn she was here.

Zwei comes running into the room, barking.

Yang: Zwei?

Blake: What's going on?

Oobleck: Grab your weapons! Your leader may be in trouble.

Zwei leads Oobleck and the two teams to the hole that Ruby fell into, and Yang spots Crescent Rose next to the hole.

Yang: Ruby's scythe!

Blake: Oh no.

Weiss: Do you think she fell?

Ty: What?

Oobleck: (Looks up) Fell?

Weiss: Down there.

Elli: (signs) It's faint be I can sense movement down there.

Weiss: (looks at Elli) What did she say?

Akio: She says there's movement down there.

Oobleck: (Looks down at the hole) Oh my. Of course! Of course, OF COURSE, OF COURSE!
