me and avani looked at each other in confusion. why was he calling me? we hadn't talked in months? however those questions didn't stop me from answering the phone, on its second ring.
"hey mack." "hey chase" there was an awkward pause.
"i..um...well i don't really know why i called you, i just wanted to talk to you i guess."
"aw that's sweet. i've missed our facetime calls"
"me too. i'm so hyped for playlist, i can't wait to meet my bEsT fwend." chase said in a cute baby voice.
"me too, chase. you're about to get the best hug of your life."
"well i better cause now i have high expectations" he joked
the conversation carried on, i totally forgot Avani was even here. ( i know i'm a bad friend) when i looked over i saw her passed out on the couch. she had fallen asleep watching Friends reruns. Me and chase talked through the night, until i ended up falling asleep too.

me and chase stayed on facetime til i decided i was going to begin heading over to payton's house. i hadn't been there in weeks, which is crazy since i practically used to live there.
"alright mister chase, i have to go, i'm gonna hang with payton." "ugh you guys are so lucky you live so close together. i wish i could hangout with you." "you'll get to in 3 weeks." i said with a wink "now i have to go byeeeee" and then i ended the call.
i threw on a pair black leggings and large grey sweatshirt. i laced up my converse and then practically yeeted myself down the stairs.
"MOM! IM GOING TO PAYTON'S HOUSE!" i screamed from the stairs. "no need to shout i'm right here." my said just a couple feet away from me. "oh, whoops." "are you going to spend the night or you guys just going to hangout?" my mom asked "uuuhhh i don't know, i'll text you once we figure it out." "okay, have fun." "bye mom i love you" i said on my way out the door.
my mom is one of the best people in my life. After my dad died, my mom was a mess. i was 9 and had to take care of not only myself but my mom too. some days were harder than others but my mom has worked so hard to be where she is now. clean, she is finally clean.
