our morning began with a rough start, beginning with us sleeping in late, and then almost missing our flight. But things we're going better now. We were in our uber on our way to the hotel.

Chase's P.O.V

i gave my phone to anthony so he could get a picture or something of me and kenzie meeting. then i ran outside the hotel doors, and saw her.
She was stepping outside of the uber. her hair hung loosely past her shoulders, she was wearing just a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt, yet i was completely drawn to her. She looked effortlessly perfect.
As soon as she saw me she dropped everything and ran towards me. i held out my arms for her and swept her up in a simple movement. She snuggled her head into my chest and wrapped her arms around me, pullling me as close to her as possible. it wasn't close enough.
Everything about her intoxicated me. like when she would smile and crinkle her nose. or let out a soft giggle when she told a joke. it was like she was made for me. i could never get enough of her.

Mackenzie's P.O.V

chase swept me into his arms and held me close. it wasn't close enough though, so i wrapped my arms around him and pulled him even closer removing any space there was between us. i snuggled into his chest, inhaling his scent. It was as if time itself had stopped moving. like the world had stopped turning, just for us. unfortunately the moment couldn't last forever.

i heard cynthia yell for me from the uber. "KENZIE GRAB YOUR STUFF HE HAS TO GO!"

shit i had totally forgotten my luggage was still in the uber. As much as i didn't want to, i let go of chase and walked away towards the uber. he followed behind me and helped me grab my stuff. As he was picking up one of the bags i had dropped on the floor he bent down and whispered in my ear, "you were right, you do give pretty good hugs."
his breath against my neck sent shivers down my spine. i gulped, and then recollected myself, "yeah i don't mean to brag hudson, but i'm kinda the best." i said jokingly
"yeah, i've noticed" and then chase reached down and grabbed my hand pulling me away from the now moving uber.
"thanks i didn't realize he was pulling away." i squeezed his hand and then released it to pull my suitcase.

as i walked closer to the hotel i saw anthony. I sat my suitcase aside and ran up to hug him.

"hey there kiddo" anthony said as he fluffed the top of my hair.
"hello yourself anthony." i said as i gave him a tight squish. he lifted me up in the air, spun me around, and then gently put me down.
I turned around and saw Chase looking at both me and Anthony. He had a pissed off look spread across his face.

"well, let's go up to the rooms" cynthia said trying to break the obvious tension

"Is madi here yet?" i asked cynthia while intertwining my hand with hers.

"yeah she's waiting up in the room"

"i can't wait to see her. i'm going to head to my room to drop off my stuff with chase and then i'll head up to your room to see Madi."

"ok sounds good," cynthia started walking in the opposite direction, "see you in a bit babe." and then she was off.

Anthony soon left too, so he could head up to his and noen's room, who wasn't there yet.

now it was just me and chase.
he just walked behind me, without saying anything. He was in a completely different mood than he was in before when i first saw him. it confused me.

"you ok, hudson?" i asked stopping so i was facing him.
"yeah i'm fine." he said looking down at his feet.
"no you're not. talk to me." i took a step closer to him, making the space between us grow smaller.
he looked up at me. "There's this girl."
as soon as he said that my face fell and a pain grew in my chest.
he continued, "i really like her, but i think she likes someone else."
my stomach was doing flips and my throat became dry. it felt impossible to speak or even breathe.
but i was able to croak out the words, "any girl who would pick someone else over you is crazy, chase, absolutely insane." and that's when i could feel the tears sting as i tried holding them back. i looked away so he wouldn't see the tear that slowly trickled down my cheek.
Chase then moved closer to me. his scent filled my nose, i wanted nothing more than to just hold him and never let go, but i stayed frozen in place.
Chase raised his hand and put his index finger on my chin, lifting it up so i was looking at him. he took his other hand, and gently wiped away the tears that were now streaming down my eyes.
"kenzie, it's you."

the pain in my chest was suddenly replaced by another feeling, another urge.
