it was 4 in the morning and i had woken up again crying for the 5th time that night. I couldn't take it anymore. i decided to text anthony since that man barely slept, and would probably be awake.

i pulled out my phone and waited for my eyes to adjust to the light.

kenzie
hey anthony, you up?

well yeah it's kinda hard to sleep knowing your missing! where tf are you??

kenzie
i'm in cynthia and madi's room. i got back a couple hours ago, but i can't sleep.

ANThony 🐜
i'll meet you outside their room.

i crept over to the door and gently opened and shut it, to not wake them. When i continued to tiptoe outside the room i saw anthony. He wrapped me into his strong embrace. Then he took a good look at me. I probably looked 10x worse than i did before. My red and puffy eyes, now had bags, and my wrists were beginning to bruise and swell.

"what happened?" Anthony asked. sadness poured through every vowel he spoke.
i explained everything. from chase's blowing up at me, to me almost being abused my James again. Anthony was on the verge of tears by the time i finished.

Me and him were sitting against one of the hotel walls, when he began to talk.

"Mackenzie, I'm so sorry about everything that happened. Especially with James, it makes me want to sock him in the face," Anthony spoke through gritted teeth. he took a second and switched his tone to more serious. "But i know Chase didn't mean to hurt you. Yeah he fucked up and he shouldn't have blown up at you. But try to give him another chance. He really cares about you. He's been an absolute mess since you left."
Every time Anthony said Chase's name it felt like the hole in my chest got deeper.

"Anthony, I care about ch-chase," i struggled to get his name out of my mouth without breaking down. I continued, "but I've been hurt so much in the past, and i don't want it to happen again."
i took a breath to compose myself as i slowly spoke, "But the more i think about it, staying away from chase hurts more than anything he could ever do to me." when i said that the realization hit.

I was in love with chase.

that realization was all it took. All of the tears welling up in my eyes streamed out.

"Anthony, i love him. I love Chase with everything in me." i finally chocked out between sobs.

Anthony didn't seem surprised, he wrapped me up into a hug and simply whispered, "i know kenzie, i know."

We stayed like that for a while until we thought we heard the sound of a door shutting. But we figured we were just tired so we both decided to head back to our rooms and try to sleep.

I thanked Anthony for everything and said goodnight, then practically dragged myself to my room, and into bed.

Cynthia's P.O.V

I woke up to what sounded like whispering. When i looked around the room, i noticed someone was missing. Kenzie. I immediately jumped out of bed. Before i had the chance to wake up Madi or Avani to tell them Kenzie was missing i heard someone say her name. It was anthony.
I tiptoed over to the door and slowly and carefully opened it. I then peeled my head out a bit to see what was going on.
Kenzie and Anthony were sitting against a wall a little father down the hall. Kenzie was an emotion mess, and anthony was doing his best to comfort her.
I heard her began to talk about chase, and then i heard something that made my heart drop.

"Anthony, I love him. I love Chase with everything in me." Kenzie said with tears pouring down her face.

I couldn't hear this anymore, i quickly shut the door without thinking how loud it would be.

I knew they must have heard it, so I threw myself back into bed and pretended to be asleep. It took everything in me to hold in the tears that so badly wished to come out.

I heard the door open and shut, and then saw Kenzie putting herself back to sleep.

Once i was confident she was asleep, i allowed myself to let everything go. I quietly cried in bed, until i had tired myself out and i couldn't do it any longer.

i fell asleep, the guilt weighing over me. I was in love with Chase and i knew i wouldn't stop until i could have him.
