Tony's point of view

Bucky stood up to support Steve, while I pulled off his shirt. I frowned when I saw bruises on his stomach. I gently brushed them with my fingers.

˝What happened here, Capsicle?˝  I asked.

˝That idiot punched me. It hurts,˝ he whined.

I kissed him. I realised that this - in combination with stress he experienced during the fight and a concussion - is what will cause the baby to come to early. I took a wet towel I brought and rubbed the dirt and blood of Steve's skin, then help him to put on a fresh shirt.

˝Now pants, Capsicle.˝ I smirked. I handed blanket to Bucky to hold in front of Steve to prevent anyone from seeing his intimate parts. He blushed as I pulled off his pants and started drying off his legs. When I was done, Bucky helped him put on loose blue sweats. They were a bit too short for him, but the best I could find.

When he was cleaned up and comfortable, we sat down on the bench again. Steve leaned against me, with his legs swung over Bucky's lap. Bucky put his metal hand on Steve's stomach. The poor man was breathing hard and with each contraction he seemed to become more tired and more in pain. He even screamed in pain a couple of times! I anxiously looked at my watch. The contractions appeared at shorter intervals each time and we were still five minutes away from headquarters, because we had to go a longer way around. I'm not sure why, some S.H.I.E.L.D. protocol probbably. I kissed his forehead.

˝Hang on, Capsicle. We'll be there soon.˝ He just nodded and moved, so he was lying with his head in my lap and his legs spread wide apart over the bench.

When we finnaly arrived Bucky carried Steve into the medical wing. The doctor I called before was already here. She gestured to Bucky to set Steve down on a bed in the corner. He was panting, but he whispered something to me.

˝I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to cause troubles.˝ I rolled my eyes.

˝Stop apologising, Capsicle. We already yelled at you.˝ I held his hand and Bucky grabbed his other hand. The doctor checked his dilation, then looked at us with a concerned look.

˝He's already dilated enough for baby to arrive and contractions are apearing at right times, so there must be something else wrong. I'll do an ultrasound to check if baby is positioned right.˝

I bit my lip. That wasn't good. The doctor put some gel on Steve's stomach and when the picture apeared on the screen I knew what was wrong. Baby was positioned diagonal instead upside down as it should be. Doctor called some nurses over and said something to them, before turning to us.

˝Because the way baby is positioned we'll have to do C-section. I have to ask you to wait outside the room.˝

I knew there was no point in arguing, so me and Bucky kissed Steve and left. Outside the room , I continued to pace nervously until Bucky caught me and yelled.

˝TONY! STOP IT! IT'S GETTING ON MY NERVES!!˝

˝Sorry,˝ I apologised and he took a deap breath and hugged me.

˝No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't yell at you. I know you are worried for him. But he's tough. He'll make it.˝ I turned around and burried my face in his shirt.

˝I know, but if baby is hurt he'll never forgive himself. I don't want him to fell guilty.˝

Bucky sighed and kissed me on top of my head. ˝They are both going to be okay. I just feel it. We'll make it through it. Together.˝

I tilted my head back and stepped on my tip toes so I could kiss him on his lips.

˝Together.˝
