'He's being weird... he's just sitting against the wall and thinking to himself...' Esme was looking at Dazod who was in his 'sleeping area' and was deep in thought. 'I've only known him for a few days, but he doesn't seem like the quiet type. In fact, all he does is talk...'
"Day?" Esme says, yet that didn't grab his attention. "Day!" She said again, but a bit louder.
His attention was still not on her.
She grumbled something before taking grabbing her pillow and immediately throwing it at him, her aim was spot on, as it hit him straight in the face.
"Ow! What in the hell?! Is that pillow of your's made of bricks?!" Dazod asked, rubbing his face.
"You wouldn't listen when I called for you, so I had to grab your attention some other way... and that other way worked." Esme said.
"Tch, fine. What do you want?" The demon said.
"What are you deep in thought about?" The female asked.
"Oh? It's nothing..." He says.
"It doesn't seem like nothing... but whatever suits you-"
"Your job..."
'I knew he was going to start talking anyway.' Esme thought.
"What about it?"
"Those people treat you horribly." Dazod said.
"That's just how my life's been. No one has ever been nice to me." Esme whispered.
"Hm? What was that?" Day said, glancing at her.
"Nothing. I didn't say anything." Esme quickly said. Dazod raised a brow at her response, he could've swore she said she's lived like that.
"Fine... whatever..." He mumbled to himself. "That man." He said, looking up at her. "Did you know him?"
"Hm? What man- oh. You mean that man with black hair?" Day nodded. "No... I don't... but he just randomly helped me... it was nice..." She said with a soft smile.
"Eh...?" This was the first time he's seen Esme smile like that. Yet something didn't sit right with him...
"Esme... I could've swore he knew me." Dazod told her.
"Knew you? But you're not from here. Maybe it's just your imagination."
"But the way he looked at me... the glare he had..." Day says.
"Yeah... it was definitely your imagination." Esme said, her expression was stoic again. "He seemed too nice to even show a glare to just anyone."
Dazod rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say... but I'm keeping my guard up."
"You say that as if I'm not." Esme said. "It's not as if I trust the guy, I just met him and he seemed nice."
"Tch, I said whatever. Let's end it at that." Day said.
Both of them ended their conversation at that, and they didn't speak for the rest of the day.
Esme couldn't sleep that night and sat up to look out the window.
'I should go out and clear my head.' She looked at the male to make sure he was asleep, which he was. 'But I don't want that annoying devil following me.'
Esme carefully opened the window, trying not to make any noise as to wake the devil.
Once the window was open she looked back to see Day still asleep. 'Good, that didn't wake him...'
