First let me tell you a little bit about my experience and about my self.
On my former account mskay71 I had always struggled to write. I would often get caught in writers block and not know what to do so. I didn't have anyone to teach me the things I will soon be teaching to you. Anyhow, I had done a book swap with another user because we both struggled to complete our own books, so we finished each others story.
On that account I had written every single day because I had a tone of ideas. When I fell out of the fandom I was in and moved on from it, I gave the user that I book swapped with, my account. On one book in particular I have 26.6k reads, 587 votes to 53 parts on that book. This didn't happen over night and it wasn't anything I did in particular. When I was leaving the account, I let me readers know and and my followers, I then noticed the reads and votes go up. This doesn't mean take advantage instead I have a key for you.
As for who I am.... I am 18 years old, I have been using Wattpad for 4 solid years now and I enjoy using this app every single day whether I'm reading or writing. I am a perfectionist and its probably my worse trait. This causes me to over think and delete things and start over or re-edit. From time to time I would go back to my other books I've finished and re-read them to see all the mistakes and un-detailed work and it kills me seeing I've messed up. I learned to grow from that. With what I'm about to teach you, hopefully it would help you to write better books and know how to fix your mistakes.

I'm not trying to offend anyone by saying your books are bad, all I'm saying is I will help you improve your writing skills and help you to notice your mistakes. I hope you guys enjoy this 'How To'.
