I have been asked by wonderful users in the past how to start as a writer here on Wattpad. This book serves to help users with Wattpad tips, tricks, secrets, and ideas without copy right on other users ideas. If you're starting off on Wattpad and do...
Before you start any book you need to have a large understand as to what you want to write about who your characters will be and how you want to end the story.
Gaining an idea can be challenging at first but this is really important. You don't want a copy right claim complaint from other users on this domain. As boring as it may sound you have to read other peoples stories to know what not to copy. You must always ask first if you can copy an idea, please don't steal someones ideas. If you want to do something similar to their story you can as long as you change the purpose or moral of the story like a plot twist.
When reading someone else's stories pay close attention to the form of grammar they use how they write, the amount of details and how they build the expense over the chapters of the book.
Know when to stop. I get it can be fun to write your ideas but to add onto the expense of the story you must know when to stop at each chapter. Note don't publish a part every single day.
Having a schedule is top priority to writing a book. Don't be one of the users that publishes a whole book in one day. You will not get readers like that. It'll be months before anyone notices your whole book.
Be sure to inform followers about your book before you publish.

On your profile you can click the conversation section and write to your followers important messages or update them on your books.
Another good way to get people to like you and your stories is by letting them know what kind of person you really are in the description box on your profile. Keep it short and keep it simple.
When writing your chapters be sure to re-read and have a friend read it as well before publishing it. If you misspell anything and a reader corrects you, be nice and thank them they're only trying to help you out.
At the end of your chapter be sure to leave a small authors note. Readers enjoy when the writer reaches out to them after the chapter. For example you can joke about a cliff hanger if you have one or inform them of what to expect in the next chapter without giving anything away. You can even just leave a note wishing them well or telling them if your busy and if you will have to delay the next chapter.
Don't be a stalker. Don't be that person who stalks their own stories every five minutes or everyday for readers, votes or even a comment. This is probably one of the hardest things to do believe me I was one of those people and it sucks. Be patient and let it play out as normal. Eventually people will notice your book and whether they leave comments or votes is based on the quality of your work.
