Writers Block

Before I get into talking about this let me tell you how annoyed I get with it. When I first hit writers block I felt like I was done for, that I won't be able to write ever again. Wrong.

Writers block is an annoying phenomenon that takes place every now and then. It usually lasts a short while. Believe me when I say this can be treated.

Option one

Read the stories you have already read on Wattpad that you enjoyed. This may seem pathetic but this isn't to get the ideas flowing again its only to take your mind off of your story for a while. When you are distracted from one thing you focus more on another things.

Option two

Ask someone to help you out. Ask them to read your book and tell you what they think. Two brains are better than one.

Option three

Most people do this because it actually works.  Put your book on hold, add to your title 'ON HOLD' in parenthesis. Pull away from that book and start a new one. When you finish that book go back to the one you put on hold. If you get stuck on the new book too then go back to the book you put on hold and who knows maybe you will get an idea that will lead to more. Save the ideas as drafts and come back to it later for when you take the book off hold.

Give what you want to get. If you want people to notice your work give them a reason to. Writers block can be annoying and then you will write aimlessly boring chapters. One thing I've learned is that if you can't sit there and read one of your own stories or chapters no one else will either. When you have writers block its best you step away and come back later on.

Many people get to this point and then discontinue their story. Readers commonly hate this because when a story is really good to them and someone discontinues it a reader can get upset.

What ever you do dont ever think your writing isn't good enough because to someone out there it is. Dont discontinue your storie or worse of all don't ever delete a story because you dont like it. These are ways to make readers hate you because they would feel your taking away from them a good story.
( I have read many stories in the past that were so amazing and someone would discontinue it or delete it and I would message them what happened and they usually blamed writers block or that they hate their writing)

Sometimes re-reading old work can get the idea train back on track. It might possibly spark new book ideas as well.

Writers block can be annoying but if you put in the energy to pause your story and return later, you will find it helps by a lot. Sometimes we tend to overwhelm ourselves doing this when we dont have to.
