Naruto: the Crimson-eyed Flash

Chapter 5: Graduation

It's been seven years since then. Naruto, and Sasuke are tied for Rookie of the year. Sakura, and Ino Yamanaka (Sasuke fangirls) are tied for Kunoichi of the year. While Kiba Inuzuka is Dead Last. With Hinata being a Naruto fangirl, but is still too shy to say anything, and is in second place for Kunoichi of the Year. Anyway today is the Graduation Exams.

Naruto is still wearing the black jacket with orange stripes, and on the inside of the jacket is also orange. Beneath this jacket, which he leaves unzipped, he wears a white t-shirt, which now has a black collar, and a bolt tied to a string around his neck. Naruto still has the orange Uzumaki swirl on the back of the jacket. He also wears a belt, which holds his orange Chokutō, the Orange Maelstrom. On his right thigh is his kunai holster.

Sasuke wears a black high-collared, short-sleeved t-shirt, with the Uchiha fan on the back. On his arms is arm guards with bandages on his wrists that go to his elbow. He also wears dark blue pants, over which hangs a blue cloth that covers him from his stomach to his knees, which he secures with a black rope belt. Also his rope belt holds his black Chokutō, which he called The Avenger, and is a little longer than Naruto's. A kunai pouch stitched into both sides of the blue cloth.

The duo is sitting next to each other silently waiting for their Sensei, Iruka Umino to get to class, and start the exam. Soon the rest of the class shuffles into the classroom. Then Sasuke, and Naruto hear the iconic stomping of Sakura, and Ino "racing" to the classroom. Wanting to sit next to their "Sasuke-kun".

All though this is also when Iruka Umino enters the class, using his famous "Ōkina Atama no Jutsu" (Big Head Technique), to settle the class down. Iruka is a man of average height and build. He has brown hair, that he keeps in a ponytail, dark eyes and a scar that runs across the bridge of his nose, which he has had since his youth. He wears the standard Konoha shinobi outfit complete with a Konoha hitai-ate, sandals, and a flak jacket. His sleeves are also rolled up about ¼ of the way up his arm.

Mizuki, another sensei came into the classroom some time later, with the written tests. He has white shoulder-length hair with a slight hint of blue to it and green eyes. Mizuki wears the standard attire of the Konoha-nin, which included flak jacket and a Konoha hitai-ate that he wore like a bandanna.

Iruka says, "The first part of the exam is a forty question written test. The next part is the Shurikenjutsu test. Where you have to throw ten kunai, and ten shuriken. The third part is the Taijutsu test. In which you have to last ten minutes with a Chunin. The fourth part is the Ninjutsu test. Which you have to show proficiency in the Henge no Jutsu, Kawarimi no Jutsu, Bunshin no jutsu, and a Jutsu from home, if you have one. It's okay if you don't. The fifth, and last part is if you have a Special type of Jutsu. Like Fuinjutsu, or Kenjutsu. You don't have to do this test if you don't want to."

Mizuki then hands out the written tests. When Naruto got his test, he found a subtle Genjutsu applied to the paper. So when Mizuki gets back to the front of the classroom, Naruto subtly releases said Genjutsu, and begins the test.

Naruto has a score of 40/40. The same also goes for Sasuke, Hinata, and Shino Aburame. Sakura got a score of 39/40. While Ino got a score of 37/40. Shikamaru, and Choji got a score of 20/40. With Kiba horribly failing with a score of 15/40.

Iruka then says, "Time to go outside for the Shurikenjutsu test."

When outside, Iruka calls everyone to throw in alphabetical order.

When it is Naruto's turn to throw, the blonde turns one tri-pronged kunai into four, with just a couple shakes of his hand. Naruto throws a perfect bullseye on the kunai, and shuriken.

Naruto, Sasuke, Hinata, and Shino got a score of 20/20. Ino got a score of 19/20. Kiba got a score of 18/20. While Shikamaru, Choji, and Sakura got a score of 10/20.
