Happy reading....
Anu entered the bustling pub, the pulsating music and vibrant lights creating an electric atmosphere. She made her way to the bar, ordering a strong drink before heading to the dance floor. Her silver top shimmered under the flashing lights as she moved her hips rhythmically, taking sips from her glass.
As she lost herself in the music, a young man approached her. He introduced himself with a friendly smile and asked, "What's your name?"
Anu smiled back. "Anu."
He made a dramatic expression. "Wow, your name is as pretty as you are."
Anu laughed. "Try another line. That one's old-fashioned."
He shook his head, his eyes earnest. "No, I'm being honest. Maybe it's an old line, but for me, it's new. You are new."
Anu raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eyes. "You mean I'm just another girl for timepass?"
He laughed, shaking his head. "No, I mean...," he trailed off, looking flustered.
Seeing his genuine discomfort, Anu laughed again. "Relax, I was just kidding."
He visibly relaxed, raising his glass to clink with hers. "You seemed like you were trying to escape from reality."
Anu looked at him curiously. "What kind of reality am I escaping from?"
He studied her face for a moment before replying, "The reality of heartbreak?"
Anu was taken aback by his insight. "Oh, come on, half the people here are dealing with that. It's not rocket science to guess."
He shook his head. "It's not just that. You're alone, drinking a strong drink to forget the pain, but it's not helping, is it?"
Surprised by his perceptiveness, Anu smiled. "Not bad. You're smart."
He grinned. "Thank you for the compliment, lady." Extending his hand, he asked, "May I have this dance?"
Anu stared at his hand for a moment, hesitating. But then she smiled and took his hand, pulling him onto the dance floor. They danced together, their movements synchronized with the beat of the music. As they danced, the young man's lightheartedness and charm slowly began to lift Anu's spirits.
For a while, Anu forgot about her troubles and heartbreak. She enjoyed the moment, letting the music and the company of her new friend distract her from her thoughts. The night wore on, and Anu found herself genuinely smiling and laughing, feeling lighter than she had in days.
Anu, feeling the effects of the alcohol, blinked up at the young man, her vision blurring. "What's your name again?" she asked, her speech slightly slurred.
"Lakshya Kapoor," he replied, steadying her as she swayed on her feet. "Here, let me help you."
Anu smiled dreamily. "Lakshya... wow, it's good. I like it... you're a great company... you're cool."
Lakshya could see she wasn't in her senses. He asked gently, "Do you have a ride, or are you going home alone?"
Anu giggled. "I came alone, so I have to go alone." Her feet wobbled, and Lakshya quickly wrapped his arm around her to keep her steady.
