Arranged To Be Married (Editing)

Chapter 4

Today I am meeting Ruhan for a movie. I was excited and nervous at the same time because maybe this meeting would be enough for us to conclude whether we fit together or not. I was waiting for the last 15 min and Ruhan has still not reached and now I'm getting slightly irritated because most of the movie tickets are sold and now we are left with very few options. I was looking at my watch for the 15th time and when I looked up I saw Ruhan running making his way to me with a little sort of a gift in his hand.
"I'm so so sorry, there was this huge traffic I got late because of that, otherwise I'm a very punctual person", he said.
"It's fine...let's be fast and pick out tickets before they completely get sold off, when we reached the ticket counter only one movie ticket was left, it is named, 'IT the next chapter' ", and I questioningly looked at Ruhan to find him turning white and lost in his thoughts.
"Ruhan?", I  asked a little loudly.
"Oh hi! Yeah Yeah take these movie tickets", he said a little fast.
"Ohk", I said and I  took two tickets and started moving towards the movie hall where our movie would be displayed. I was about to enter inside when then hold my hand pulling me back and said."This little something for you as an apology gift", rubbing the back of his head in the process.
"Thank you. Apology accepted.", I said smiling at him. And we both entered inside with popcorn and a cold drink in his hands and his gift in my hands, bringing a small smile to my face.
We took our seats and the movie started when the first scary scene came I was a little startled but as I love horror movies I wasn't that affected, during that scene when I turned towards Ruhan he was holding his chair a little tightly and closing his eyes I touched his shoulder and asked, 'Ruhan you fine?'.
"Yeah yeah, everything is good", he replied.
Then came the 2nd scene and again when I turned towards him he was doing the same. So mister Ruhan doesn't like horror movies. Then I gain the courage and touched his hand and asked him to get up and he was perplexed, "what happened? ", he whispered.
"Nothing I am not liking it anymore let's just move out ", I replied
And we moved out with voices shouting to move faster when we passed by the last seat the lady there shouted mistaking us for the scary creature from the movie and we after requesting the guards on gate moved out and laughed loud thinking about the loud shrilling voice of that lady.
"So what next?", I looked at Ruhan.
He said," Let's go somewhere quiet and get to know each other better."
" Ok, "I said.
He asked me to wait to get his vehicle from the parking. I was wondering about his gift just then I heard the roaring sound stopping next to me when I looked up I found ruhan with his bike looking at me giving me a spare helmet.
"We are going on a bike?", I  asked
"Yeah but if you are scared then we can call the cab", he replied.
"No no I'm Completely Fine", I said taking the helmet from his hand and sitting back and holding the back of the bike.
"You can hold me if you want, no need to feel uncomfortable", he said.
"No, it is fine. If I feel like falling I'll hold you." I replied.
And we started moving. I have intently left the helmet glass open just to enjoy the caresses of the wind against my face, bringing a small smile to my face. I  have always liked bike rides, they give me a sense of freedom, riding a bike is the only way you can talk to the wind.
After riding for 30 min we came to the outskirts of the city with a little comfy cafe insight. Ruhan stopped in front of that cafe and we both moved inside.
After ordering we sat down on our bench near the window giving us a glance at every passerby.
"This is my favourite place, outside the hustle-bustle of the city to get some peaceful hours", He spoke breaking the silence between us.
"This place is nice", I replied looking at him.
"So let's start question hours", he said smiling at me.
" So what is Mahi like?", he asked
"You asked the most difficult question", I replied smiling back.
"I don't know much about myself but the basic thing about me is I like small things in my life. I believe there is always something to live for or to work for, I love and respect my family, I like green colour, walk by the beachside, looking at the night sky enjoying the beauty of the night, Writing something while drowning myself in the smell of books and coffee, I like people who are truthful to me and don't deceive or betray me, I like my job because there I get the opportunity to help people to, save them from drowning in vastness of this world. I guess this is mahi", I replied.
"Ok...This is deep Mahi. You are a really interesting person. ", he replied.
"About me, I like black and blue colour, I love my parents the most in the world, I respect women a lot, some think I am very carefree because of my external appearance but I am focused and dedicated in my life, I don't take any decision until I mean to take Complete responsibility for its consequences, I like adventures, my bike rides, I also love nature and want to explore every unique thing that is there on earth.", he replied.
And just like that our time was spent talking, enjoying food in between with cafe music in the background. It was a day well spent for both of us.
After coming home I felt like I have finally got my answer regarding this marriage proposal. I walked towards my parent's room to tell them my answer. When I entered
In my parent's room, my father was already talking to someone. "who's on phone?", I asked my mother.
"Even I don't know", she said. Then my father cut the call and looked and me and smiled. "what happened paa?", I asked him. 'Ruhan and his parents agree to this Union'  he replied. Taking me by surprise.
"What is your decision mahi?", he asked.
"whatever you and maa think is good for me paa and I don't have any problem with this union",  I replied. "The family and their son is nice so I'll be really happy with you marrying into that family."  my father said.
"Ok paa", I replied smiling back at him and nodding in approval and went back to my room to get some sleep. I've already agreed to marry ruhan and yes coming first from ruhan was a sweet surprise for me. Then my eyes fall on the gift given by ruhan to me. I opened it to found a beautiful sapling there, I was delighted to see it. And there I saw a note along with it saying, "I'm sorry for today. I don't like flowers plucked so that is why I'm gifting you this new life to raise it" and I smiled at this beautiful message. He is just like me in some situations. I also don't like flowers being hurt. And I smiled at the sweet coincidence.
