Back To Normal?

Edward's POV

No it's not is what kept playing over in my head. We are now at Ally's house and she's cried herself to sleep on my chest.

I start humming 'Amnesia' since that's the song I've been listening to ever since I got my phone back.

"If I woke with you right beside me." Ally mumbles when I get to that part.

I smile. She makes me so happy. The littlest things she does just make my day. I mess with her hair.

"I'm so so sorry Ally." I say losing my smile.

"Stop saying sorry." she says getting up.

I sit up and she sits next to me, facing me. She puts her hands on my cheeks. She looks me in the eyes. She leans in a little. I feel her breath on my neck. I lean in a little closer. When I'm about to close the space between us her phone starts ringing.

She picks it up. "Hello?"

I can hear her mum yelling on the other line.

"Oh I just skipped like a few classes mum. It's not that big of a deal."

She rolls her eyes.

"Fine, bye." she sighs.

"Want to watch a movie?" I ask.

"No I want you to tell me."

"Tell you what?" I play dumb.

"You know what."

"What about it do you want to know? He beat me day after day." I say not making eye contact.

"Not that. Are you going to tell your mum when she gets back? Are you going to get help?"

"I.. No. I just want my mum to be happy." I start crying now.

"Yeah but what about you? She wants you to be happy."

"I can't do this to her again." I mumble, still not making eye contact.

Ally lifts my head up.

"Sometimes it's best to think about yourself once and a while." With that she hugs me.

I hug back. We both sit there in each other's arms for a while. I finally stop crying and let go. I look at her. She's different.

She looks way different. She has longer hair, she dresses like a bad ass, but her eyes are still the brilliant brown.

"Want to talk about something el-"

"Do you still have feelings for me?" I ask abruptly.

"Yeah, but all I know is I don't want to be just friends or best friends." she blushes.

"Okay, excuse me, but I have to use the bathroom." I get up and feel a bad pain in my chest. "Holy shit."

"What?"

"My chest. Pain." I manage.

"Lift up your shirt." She says

I lifts up my shirt and get a gasp from Ally.

Ally's POV

"Lift up your shirt." I say.

He lifts up his shirt and I gasp.

"What?" he says.

"This sounds weird but take it off."

He takes off his shirt and sure enough. There is even more scars and bruises.

I sit down on the couch and put my face in my hands and silently cry.

"Ally I'm fine. Just some scars and bruises no big deal." he says.

"Stop saying that!" I scream getting up. "You act like everything is fine! Everything is tidy and perfect! Well reality check Edward, it's not! It's just not! So stop acting like child abuse is something that you should be dealing with something that you deserve! No one deserves that Edward! No one!" I know tears are streaming down my face but there is no point in wiping them away when they will just keep falling.

"Stop crying over this. Please."

"Stop acting like this is no big deal. Stop acting like if I was in your place and you were in mine you'd agree that I deserve it and it's no big deal. Just let me care for you, please." I walk up to him, "You don't deserve this baby." I grab his hand.

He looks down. "Okay." he mumbles walking off to the bathroom.

That's when I realize. It's not a big deal. It's a huge deal. No one can hurt him. He got hurt though. Now its my turn to take matters into my own hands. I need him to stay with me from now on.
