Kendall's POV:

"Where would you like this table Grandma Boots?"

"Put it over by the others."

My family and I are currently setting up for the annual Hoedown my Grandma and Grandpa throw every year. Everyone within Wichita always shows up.

"Hey Grandma Boots!" A voice said. I turned my head slightly over my shoulder to see her.

(Y/N).

We've been friend since we were in diapers. She has always lived next to Grandma, that's how we met. I've had a thing for her since 7th grade, but I've never let it be known.

~ Later at the Hoedown ~

"Kendall!" I turned just to have Grandma pull me by my shirt.

"What Grandma?" I asked.

"Why aren't you dancing with (Y/N)?" She asked pointing to (Y/N) who was dancing all by herself.

"Well I-I-"

"I don't want excuses. Your 23, single, she's single, beautiful, and I'm not getting any younger, I would like great grandchildren before I die." She laughed.

"So you set me up?"

"Sweetie I've been trying to set you two up since you both were in 8th grade!" She laughed again.

"Now go!" She said pushing me right into (Y/N).

But before (Y/N) could hit the ground, my arms wrapped around her waist, catching her.

"Well there you are Ken." She giggled.

"Hi (Y/N). I wanted to ask you, umm, if you wanted to go on a, umm, date with me? Not tonight, but you know some other night." I smiled nervously.

Her hands wrapped around my neck pulling me in supper close. Our lips barely meeting.

"I thought you'd never ask." She said before connecting our lips together.
