Don't Walk Away - Miley Cyrus

Your POV:

I huffed, climbing out of the cab that brought me here. I looked up at the towering building that stood before me. I went through the same routine I go through whenever I show up. Through the doors, go right, get in the elevator, go up to the 10 floor, and up to his receptionist.

"Good afternoon (Y/N)." Rachel, Carlos' receptionist smiled.

"Is Carlos in? I really need to talk to him." I snapped.

"Well he's actually in a meeting right now. But it's almost over, so you could go wait in his office." Rachel said looking up from her computer.

"Thank you Rachel." I said with a small smile making my way to my husband's office.

~ 5 minutes later ~

Picking at my nails, I let out a loud sigh. Where the hell is he? I got up from the desk chair, walking around his office. Next thing I knew the door opened, with a laughing Carlos walking in with one of his co-workers.

"But did you see his face? Priceless!" Carlos laughed to point where he started to tear up.

He finally regained his breath, and looked up. Going wide eyed at my presence.

"(Y/N)! Babe what are you doing here?" Carlos smiled. "Alexa, if you could excuse me I would like some privacy with my wife." Carlos smiled at the beautiful blonde who was apparently named Alexa.

She nodded walking out of room, closing the door behind her.

"Who's she?" I asked, folding my arms.

"Alexa? She just my co-worker." He said coming in for a hug.

"Stop Carlos." I growled.

"Babe what's the matter?" He frowned.

"What's the matter?" I said wide eyed. "Well my husband is never around anymore! Besides that he's here at work flirting it up with some other chic." I snapped.

Carlos sighed. "(Y/N), I'm not cheating on you. And besides that, I have a lot of work to do here." He fired back, motioning to all the paperwork on his desk.

"So you have so much work, that you can't make any room for your wife? I like I don't even see you anymore! The only time your home is late at night, and you leave early morning! I feel like you don't love me anymore." I sniffled, looking into his eyes.

The room was silent. He had nothing.

"I'm going home." I said, walking over to my bag and coat.

"Wait." He croaked.

I turned on my heels. "What?" I snapped.

He walked up to me, embracing my trembling body.

"This was suppose to stay a secret," he sighed pulling a manilla envelope out from his desk drawer. "but I can't risk losing you over hiding it. The reason I haven't been home is because I've been trying to get a good 2 weeks worth of work done for a cruise we'll be taking. Surprise." He whispered the last part.

"Oh Carlos! I'm sorry, I feel so stupid!" I cried into his chest.

We stood like this for a while, until Carlos decided to break the silence.

"So are you excited?!" He asked.

"Of course." I smiled pecking his lips. "Just one question."

"Shoot."

"When do we leave?"

"Tomorrow."
