I stare at Reggie for a long time. It would be better than being Hiram's mate and if Hiram smells Reggie's scent on me, he'll figure out what happened. He'd either beat the shit out of me or fuck me now and pay the money to my father later. I still don't want to be anyones mate yet, but I'm not sure if there's any time.

"Give me until the end of the day to think about it. I'll let you know my answer," I say and he smiles at me. He presses our lips together and I can't help but smile a little. I'll admit it. I did like kissing him.

"See you later," he whispers and I watch as he leaves.

Reggie has gotten better these last few weeks. He's been genuinely kind and it was nice. He left me multiple letters and more roses. I wish I'd been able to take them with me. They would have brought me comfort, but they would've been destroyed when Hiram found them.

I stare at my reflection and let out a sigh. "I don't really have much of a choice do I," I say to myself and leave. I don't want to look at myself any longer.

I find Betty and Archie and pull them both into an empty classroom. "What's wrong," Betty asks and I can't look at them right now. I can't believe I'm going to say this.

"You two can't tell anyone until it's done. Especially not Cheryl. It'll speak like wildfire," I say and they nod. "I think. No. I am. I'm going to become Reggie's mate," I say and they both stare in shock.

"Why? You don't even like him," Betty says and I look away, trying to hide the small smile that forms. "Or do you," she asks I shrug.

"I don't know for sure. We've kissed a couple times now, but that's beside the point. I have to do it," I say and I watch as what I said registers.

"Why would you have to do it," Archie asks, thankfully not asking about the kisses.

"This stays between us three okay," I whisper and they both nod. I look away from them as I slowly pull my shirt off. I hear a soft gasp behind me as they see all of the scars and bruises.

I feel Archie pull me into a tight hug after a long moment and I bury my head in his shoulder. Betty joins the hug after a few seconds and I cling to both of them.

"Tell us everything," Betty whispers as we separate. I pull my shirt on before sitting next to them.

...

"Why didn't you tell us? You could have stayed with me," Betty says and lightly takes my hand in hers.

"I didn't have a choice," I whisper.

"Why not," Archie asks and I stare at my feet as more tears form.

"My father's newest deal with Hiram. He'd sell me right away if Hiram paid just a little more. The deal is almost done. I have a few days before it's reality. He only dragged it out because I was already there with him and he must have thought he wouldn't have to spend any money on me. It was better to stay with him and we all know you guys would have tried to fight him and that would've been pointless," I say and Archie attempts to deny it and both Betty and I stare at him. "I know your temper Archie. I just didn't want anyone else to get dragged into the mess I made. I went to him, it was my mess to deal with," I whisper and Betty starts to speak, but the classroom door was thrown open.

Cheryl stares at all of us, a little terror in her eyes. "Ray. Hiram is here. Someone here was spying for him or something. He knows about you and Reggie's kiss and he," she says, but doesn't finish as I run out of the classroom. I already knew how that sentence was going to end.

"Is Reggie in class," I ask and I can hear Cheryl running behind me.

"I don't know. I'm guessing he is. Otherwise he would know about Hiram already and we saw what happened last time they saw each other," she says and I stop when I reach the stairs.

"What should we do," Betty asks and I turn to look at the three of them.

"I know I said I didn't want you guys to get involved and I still don't, but I need you to buy me time. This is happening now," I whisper and Cheryl looks confused for a moment, but quickly runs in the opposite direction. Betty and Archie follow her a moment after.

I run up the stairs and glance inside every classroom until I see him. I toss the door open and everyone turns to stare at me. The teacher attempts to speak, but I slam my fist against the wall and she shuts her mouth. "Everyone out, buy Reggie," I say and everyone stares in shock.

'You heard him. Get out," Reggie barks and uses his Alpha powers or whatever, which makes everyone follow his order. His eyes even flash a different color for a moment which was kinda cool and maybe a little hot. "What's wrong," he asks and his expression is normal again.

"Hiram is here. He bought me," I say and he runs to the door. I grab his arm and stare at him. "Fighting him won't do anything. He will get me at some point no matter what you do," I say and then move to pull him closer to me by the front of his jeans. "But there is something we can do to stop him," I say and his eyes go wide for a moment.

"Are you sure," he asks and I nod. Our lips connect and one of his hands moves to slide under my shirt while the other grabs the back of my head. His tongue explores my mouth as I begin to undo the front of his jeans.

I pull away and smile at him. "We should probably lock the door and barricade it. Don't want anyone to see this," I say and he's very quick to lock the door and throw a bunch of desks in front of it.

"You think that's good," he asks and I laugh a little.

"Good enough. Now are you going to fuck me or not," I ask and he grins wide as I pull his jacket and shirt off.
