I wake up and sigh as I get out of bed. It's been a week since I apparently nearly died in front of Betty. I'm not currently allowed outside of my house. The whole battle or war thing hasn't started yet. Apparently declaring war still takes time for some reason. I'm obviously grateful for that. Reggie is rarely home now and also has ordered me not to speak of the topic to him and if you don't know, when an Alpha orders their Omega, the Omega more or less has to listen. I of course am a little more resilient and can with a lot of effort and energy say something about it, but usually I end up passing out a few minutes after that, so I ended up having to just give up on it.

Moose is currently having to watch me and Kevin is taking  a nap in the guest bedroom. They're both exhausted, but Moose can't sleep until someone else comes for watch. "You know you can keep an eye on me without just sitting in front of the door," I say while walking into the kitchen.

"This is what Reggie told me to do," he says and I sigh as I make two cups of coffee. I walk back into the living room and offer one to him and he takes it with a small smile. I walk over to the couch and sit, resting the cup on the end table.

"Come on. Let's at least watch a movie or something," I say and he bites his lip. "Reggie won't find out Moose," I say and he walks over and sits next to me, sipping his coffee.

We get about halfway when I hear him snoring and I smirk softly.  I may have dropped one of my sleeping pills into his drink. I feel guilty about it, but I'm doing what I have too. "Sorry Moose, but I'll take the fall for this," I whisper and stand and head towards the door.

"Reggie is going to be pissed," Kevin says and I turn back to look at him.

"Give me ten minutes and then you can call him and tell him I somehow managed to knock Moose out," I say and he sighs, but nods. "Thanks Kev," I say and run out the front door. I pull my phone out of my pocket and call probably one of the people that will piss my boyfriend off the most.

"Wanna meet up somewhere," I ask.

"Yeah. I think we need to talk," Jasmin says. "You remember where," she asks.

"Of course," I say and head towards Dilton's bunker.

...

I climb down, closing the hatch behind me. She's sitting on the bed looking bored. We'd been texting all week. Fangs had given her my number since if he called me, Sweet Pea might go crazy. She'd understood that I didn't have any control over anything.

"How have you been," she asks and I chuckle.

"House arrest has been great. I'm certain you've had as shitty of a time as I have," I say and she nods. "How's Fangs," I ask and she doesn't answer right away.

"He's basically in the same boat as you. Sweet Pea has said that if he leaves their trailer or the Wyrm, they're done and Fangs loves Sweet Pea more then life, but this is really hard for him. Toni hasn't left his side other then to feed and get him blood," she says and I stare at the ceiling. "And aren't you going to get serious hell for this," she asks and I shrug.

"Reggie can do whatever he wants. I don't really care right now. This whole thing is stupid," I say and run my fingers through my hair. "Isn't Jughead going to be angry at you," I ask and she laughs softly.

"He doesn't really get mad at me. More like annoyed," she says and I smile then feel my phone ring.

"Fuck. Kevin you were supposed to give me more time," I say under my breath.

"I'll take that as my cue to go. If he finds me here, I may have to kill your boyfriend," she says and walks to the ladder. "This if probably the last time we'll be able to talk for awhile. I have to make sure the Serpents are ready. If we're right, this will happen by Friday," she says and I nod.

"Be careful," I say and she laughs.

"I never am," she says and then she's gone. I sigh and answer Reggie's, probably third call at this point.

"Where the hell are you," he barks and I flinch from the phone.

"Not exactly sure. Just went for a run," I say and I can tell that my lie is not working.

"You wouldn't have drugged Moose just to go on a run," his voice is suddenly calm. Way too calm.

"That's a bold assumption," I reply, not really worried about pissing him off since he's probably going to kill me when I get home.

"If you don't tell me where you are, I will make you regret it," he says and I'm silent. That is the first time he's ever threatened me like that.

"I'm heading home," I say and hang up. I feel my phone vibrate, but I just throw it behind me as I head to the ladder. I'm obviously not going to go home, considering the fact that I am, for the first time, actually scared of my boyfriend. Instead I run to Cheryl's, who is the only werewolf in town who isn't doing what Reggie says. I just stand as a wolf for a moment panting. I gotta admit, it does legit feel good to be able to run as a wolf again. I hear the door open and she just stares.

"If you want to come inside, you need to be human," she says and I turn back. "Well hurry up. It won't take long for him to track your scent from out there," she says and I walk in quickly.

...

Cheryl has clearly felt the pain from this whole thing. Vampires aren't allowed to come to the Northside without risk of being killed on sight, which means she hasn't been able to see Toni. I'm sure they still text and call, but she just seems so depressed.

"I'm sorry about all of this. If I hadn't tried meeting up with Fangs, this wouldn't be happening," I say and she shakes her head.

"It's not your fault," she whispers and then her phone rings. "Hello mutt," she says and I already know she's talking to Reggie just do to that nickname.

"Is he there Cheryl," he asks and I realize she has her phone on speaker.

"You think I'd let him into my house. He's the reason I can't see my girlfriend," she snaps and I flinch. I know she doesn't mean it, but it still hurts.

"If I find out your lying," Reggie starts to say and Cheryl laughs. It's cold and empty and terrifying, especially seeing it.

"Then what. We both know that you have never been able to beat me and I would just love the opportunity to tear out your throat, so just try it," she growls and then hangs up.

"He's gonna send someone to search here," I say and she laughs.

"Let them try to get in. I have enough wolfsbane growing in my garden to take down his entire army," she says and I laugh, but stand.

"But I won't let anyone get hurt," I say and she grabs my wrist.

"But I'm scared that you'll get hurt," she says and I see the pain in her eyes. I'm one of the only people who has ever been able too.

"I'll be fine Cheryl. I've cheated death plenty of time already," I say, but I am truthfully afraid. The last time I heard someone speak to me like Reggie was early, I was living with Hiram and I knew what happened when he got angry like that and Reggie isn't known for handling his anger in the best ways. I mean he literally is going to war.

"Call me okay," she says and I laugh softly.

"Well I actually think my phone is broken. I kinda just through it behind me in Dilton's bunker," I say and she rolls her eyes.

"Fine. I'll just come visit. Not like I'm afraid of anyone who stands guard at your house anyways," she says and then I feel her hug me tightly and I pull her closer. "If he lays a hand on you, you'll tell me," she says and I nod softly even though that's a lie. I won't say a word.

We separate and I leave. I can hear, very faintly, the sound of wolves running. Thank you super hearing. I run in the opposite direction. Thank god I know this town so well. I get close to my house and I can feel my hands shaking as I phase back to human. I can tell he's there and if I'm hearing right, so are Betty, Archie and like ten more people.

I reach for the door knob, but it's tossed open before I can grab it. Reggie is standing there, fuming.

"Sorry," I say and he roughly grabs my wrist.

Shit.
