Logan's (pov)

I looped my arm with Patton's as we walked to science we got a few stares but I couldn't care less. From what I could tell Patton was the most interesting boy in this school. "If you don't mind me asking" I start "why don't you have a guide dog or cane?" He doesn't even spare a glance at me just holds me tighter. "Dogs aren't aloud in school and I forgot my cane in my brothers car." I nod in understanding. Only to realise he couldn't see it. I mentally slap myself in the face. "Interesting." Is all I could think to say at the moment. We continue to walk in comfortable silence.

We walk into class and a hundred eyes are on us and I felt Patton start to shake. "And where exactly have you two been?" The teacher Miss Swan asked aggressively. "Patton is new here so I decided to help." I say simply and I lead him to the back of the class and help him sit down taking a seat next to him. "Thanks" Patton says I only smile at how cute he's being.Wait WHAT! No, no way, absolutely not!An apple a day keeps gay thoughts away. I can't like him I've only known him an hour. I sigh and begin taking notes as Patton fumbles with his bag. "Need help?" I ask. He nods and I take his bag from him in it I see three books. English, math and science the basics. I take out the science book but then realise "How do you read these?" He doesn't answer only holds out his hand I give him the book and......It's brail. All of it. "I didn't know they made books like that" I say absentmindedly. He giggles at me. God that giggles cute. Wait! No No NO! Eat a god damn apple Logan! "They make a few books like these but there usually expensive so I only got the main three." He says a small smile on his face.  His joy is contagious as I feel myself smiling too.  He continues to read and listen, whilst I read and take notes. All in all I'm looking forward to a new school year.
