2008:

Entry #1:

Dear Diary,

I'm currently right now at Gavrilo's house. We're having a New Year's Eve party. Hello 2008 & goodbye 2007! So far it's been a mix of both boring and interesting. The boring bits were just mostly what you would see in a stereotypical New Year's Eve party, which was mostly people getting drunk, talking about stuff that had been going on in their lives & telling each other what their New Year's Resolution was. The most interesting stuff that I managed witness were 2 developing relationships. While I was on my way to the kitchen to grab a drink, I managed to catch a glimpse of Cory making out with another guy I didn't recognize. I quickly snuck by past them to grab another bottle of rootbeer. They broke apart and noticed that I was there with them. I profusely apologized for walking in on them like that. They seemed pretty cool about it. The guy Cory was making out with, Robin, introduced himself to me. It turned out that they had been dating for months. After that, I went to the living room with my bottle of rootbeer & sat down on the couch. There were a few people who sat on the other couches, some who sat on either sides of the couch, & some who sat on the floor, either with 1 or more people next to them or alone. The movie we were watching in question was "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". It had just come out, so it was brand new. I noticed that Monaghan, that's right and as rude as it sounds, we all started calling both Camerons by their surnames because for some reason, people were just that stupid to assume that just because 2 or more people share the same name or variants of the same name, it automatically meant they were somehow the same person, despite their gender and the fact that they are different people in general. We assured them that it was just a temporary solution until people actually opened up their eyes & they were hesitant about it but they complied nonetheless. So yeah, that's what we're referring to them as. And by we, I mean Gavrilo, Tom, & I. Now, here they are sitting together in front of me, facing the screen. David and Bicondova sat on either side of him & Monaghan had an arm around each of their shoulders. They had a black blanket draped around their shoulders. I can only assume they must've come together and confessed their love to each other at some point or maybe they bundled up together like 3 good "friends". It's not official just yet, so I have to wait. I watched the film for a while but then I went to the kitchen. Joe called me over, said he wanted to play "Spin the Bottle". After everyone got a turn and kissed someone, I spun it and you will never guess on who it landed on. It was Pete! I was very hesitant to kiss him, especially after all the homophobic crap he said to me, which I never forgot. Honestly, I was expecting him to hurt me in some way, like bite me on the lip or something along those lines, but he didn't. The kiss was a mix of gentle, rough, and passionate. I think I just had my first kiss. So here I am, back in the living room, with everyone else watching some other movie. I could have sworn I saw Amy trying to grind up against one of our high school's jocks & he looked like he wasn't having any of it. Gods, I really hate using this term but is Amy trying to make herself look like a slut on purpose? Or is she always like that? I honestly don't know. Anyway, this has been an interesting night.

Sincerely yours,

Patrick Stump

Entry #2:

Dear Diary,

Apparently, the whole thing with Amy escalated from bad to worse. I also found out the name of the name of the jock she ground up against. The guy's name was Noel & I heard him yell out of frustration about what happened at the party. Amy claimed this guy was her boyfriend. He was basically also mumbling to himself on how she was a liar & that what she said wasn't true. I left a note about wanting to talk to him after school today at 4pm in the gymnasium right beside him before I rushed off to class. Eventually, we did meet up in the gym to talk. He had a look of surprise when he found out I wanted to talk to him. We started up our conversation the way most conversations start. With greetings and all that jazz. He told me that he knew me through Monaghan & that he wouldn't shut up about me every time they met up to talk. They are besties. Our conversation turned towards what happened at the party and Amy. It turned out that it had been going on for weeks, even before the party. I brought up what happened with Calvin. He commented that it sucked but was relieved to hear that he wasn't the only one who was going through a problem like this. He wished Calvin good luck in the future. And I told him that, should Amy ever do something inappropriate to him or anyone else he knew personally, he should report it to either our school's office or to the Commentary club. He agreed. We ended our seemingly-hour long conversation and exited the building as we headed home. I watched him enter his car, which was a 2008 Ford Escape, as I walked away from the school. I don't live too far from the school so I walked home. I feel happy knowing I opened up about the Amy situation to someone.
