Chapter 2

Tegan's POV-

"Flight 7D04 is now boarding from Sydney to London."

I was broken out of my day dream when the women next to me nudged me and told me that my fight was boarding. As I walked into the boarding area I turned to check that I had picked up everything but all I could see were cute couples together- ugh it made me sick. I had to fight back the tears, what did I even do wrong?

So here I now am on a flight home by myself, heartbroken. God I hope the person sitting next to me isn't a freak.

I was about to sit down but someone was in my seat, normally I would be annoyed but I got lost in his crystal blue eyes...

Niall's POV-

I was trying to find my headphones in my bag when someone interrupted my searching,

"Excuse me but you're in my seat." I was about to answer but I got lost in her hazel eyes; everything about her was breath taking.

"You're in 1D" she said impatiently, oh wait she was a fan I better not keep her any longer than she already was.

"Would you like a photo?" I asked shooting her a wink. She just looked at me blankly, maybe I had something in my teeth? You could tell she was getting very impatient when she sarcastically remarked,

"Why do I need a photo to remember that someone was in my seat, which may I remind you again is seat 1D, which you're currently sitting in." This mini rant was followed by her shoving a ticket in my face.

When I noticed I was in her seat I could feel my face go red, as I just made a fool of myself in front of the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

"Oh I'm so sorry here is your seat." I managed to say without making more of a fool of myself. She gave me a thankful smile and I could tell she was blushing slightly.

She finally broke the silence after what felt like forever by saying,

"I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier," she bit her bottom lip- which was so adorable, "I've just had a bad day." She finished. I could see the tears forming in her eyes so I put my arm around her comfortingly, my body tingled at her touch. I gave her a warm smile and said,

"You can tell me what's wrong I've got time," I jokingly looked at my wrist which had no watch on, "22 hours and 58 minutes to be exact." I winked again and she blushed. She laughed as well and damn it was a cute laugh- they're my weakness. I laughed back getting a few odd looks as it was so loud, I just can't help it I crack myself up.

She started to explain what had happened and the story seemed so familiar but I couldn't quite place where I'd heard it. However, the way she was opening up it felt like I'd known her for years.

A few hours later

Tegan's POV-

I had tears in my eyes from laughing so much. He's just so funny but at the same time so caring. He'd explained how he didn't like flying by himself so it would be rude if I didn't stay up all night with him... it's got nothing to do with him being extremely hot, well maybe a bit but don't tell anyone.

We got to know each other on the flight and it feels like I've known him for years.

"Do you want to play truth or dare?" He asked sheepishly

"Sure why not you go first, truth or dare?"

"Truth"

"Ha, you're such a wimp but, do you live with your girlfriend?"

"Luckily for you I'm single." He chuckled. I sunk back in my seat going red, god I'm such a fool, why did I even ask that? Thankfully he broke the awkward silence by asking me truth or dare.

"Dare" I replied cheekily

"Alright we'll start easy, I dare you to kiss the best looking person on the plane."

I got up and scanned around the plane.

Niall's POV-

I'm not going to lie when she got up my heart broke a bit because a small part of me wanted her to kiss me. Wait snap out of it Niall you've only known her a few hours. I see Tegan heading back to her seat,

"So, who did you kiss?" I asked whilst she was sitting back down in her seat.

"No one" she chuckled

"Well well well miss rule breaker you're going to have to do a forfeit." She smirked at me and replied,

"I never said I was finished"

She caught me off guard by placing the softest most perfect kiss on my cheek. I raised my eyebrow at her saying, "So you think I'm the best looking huh?" I blushed slightly and she giggled,

"Don't flatter yourself the standard was pretty low on the plane." I playfully nudged her trying to act offended.

I could tell we were both getting tired so we decided to go to sleep. My heart melted a bit when she rested her head on my shoulder and I pulled her into a hug, she smelt like apples and I like apples. Just for a second it felt like we were a couple and I smiled, "I could get used to this, princess." but when I looked she was already fast asleep.

The flight attendant woke me up as we were about to land. I smiled like down at Tegan who was still fast asleep in my arms. I didn't want to get off this flight because that meant I had to say goodbye.

When the plane landed I was collecting my stuff from the overhead locker, I turned and started rambling,

"So Tegan fancy giving me your number so we can meet up another time, I just had so much fun" I trailed off when I realized she had gone. Without saying a word.

I guess it wasn't meant to be... But I really wished it was.
