Tegan's P.O.V

I looked in the mirror one last time to check my outfit was alright, before walking out my flat to go and meet harry. He'd text me earlier to explain that he would love to pick me up but pap's will follow him so unless we wanted a group date it's best he didn't. Which is fine by me I wasn't going the let that ruin the night. I hopped in my car and typed the address into my sat nav and drove off.

When I arrive I see Harry wearing a casual outfit, thank god I wore one too. He smiles and greets me with a warm smile and we made some small talk. Harry breaks the small talk by asking, "So should we get going then?"

"Sure where are we going?"

"Not too sure yet, let's just drive yeah?"

"Um cool but are you sure we won't get lost"

"Just relax! You're not taking this spontaneous thing very well, when I called my mum she told me girls dig this shit. Fuck she told me I shouldn't swear. Man I just did it again, I'm so stupid" I giggled and rested my hand on his, he glanced over at me,

"Don't worry Harry, you're doing great and I'm impressed with you being spontaneous." I returned the warm smile he gave me earlier. I heard him release a sigh of relief. I could tell this was going to be a good date.

After more laughing I decided to ask about the boys, "So it must be hard being in the public eye all the time?" I couldn't help but ask because they haven't really had much time to adjust to their new lifestyle. He turned his gaze to me,

"Yeah sometimes when you miss important family things it's hard but the good times make up for it. We didn't think it would be this crazy when we first started but we wouldn't have it any other way. But it's times like that it's all worthwhile, I can just be myself and not get judged," I ducked my head down to hide the blush as a smile crept on my face. "The boys make it easier too as we all go through the same thing." He finished.

As soon as he mentioned the boys I started to think of Niall. Stop it Tegan. He walked away from you not the other way round. "So you and the boys must be close?"

"Yeah we're like brothers. Obviously we argue but we sort it out," He tugs on his hair, "Most of the time..."

I sensed that was a touchy subject so I quickly brushed over it. We had been driving for what felt like hours. It was nice to just feel so comfortable around him, as we chatted the radio was softly playing in the background. Harry turned the volume up,

DON'T STOP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOINGG EVERYTIME YOU MO-

I quickly turned it down before I did or said something I knew I'd regret. But I don't think he noticed as we pulled up to a farm. Harry quickly got out his car and opened my door. He led me round to the boot of the car and opened it too reveal two pair of wellies, I raised an eyebrow at him "You're soo spontaneous that you conveniently had spare wellies as we just so happened to end up at the farm." He chuckled and his cheeks flushed pink when he realised I'd rumbled him.

"Umm, yeah about that I kind of planned the date before I spoke to my mum so I had to pretend it was all spare of the moment." He looked nervously at the ground I chuckled at him,

"That's cute Harry no one does that for me usually," He looked up clearly in surprise at my reaction. He slung his arm around me and led me into the farm.

Harry's P.O.V

As our date continued I regretted it even more. This started out just to get back at Niall for what he said but the more time I spend with her and the more I get to know her, I actually realise why Niall liked her so much.

She's currently feeding a little piglet and the way she smiles is so mesmerising. I've started to realise the cute things she does like when the pig comes to close she scrunches her nose but in an adorable way. Her smile and laugh is infectious and I find myself being like I used to be back in Cheshire, just care free.

Soon we grew bored of the animals and I cautiously brushed my hand over hers and my heart skipped a beat when she gathered what I meant and linked her fingers with mine. There was a field near the farm and we decided to go there.

I decide to whip out my best farm joke because who doesn't love a first date joke, am I right?

"Knock Knock"

"Who's there?"

"Cows go"

"Cows go who?"

"No Tegan don't be silly cows go moo" I can't help but laugh at myself and she joins in. She has little wrinkles by her eyes where she's laughing so hard. After a few more hours of jokes and walking we decided to head back because I had to get up early tomorrow.

We drive back in a nice silence with the radio quietly in the background. The boys will all really like Tegan I think, "You know Tegan me and the boys all live together most the time. Some of us have own flats but we tend to all be in the same place. So maybe if I give you the address you could come over sometime and meet the others, you know Niall but I'm pretty sure you haven't met the others." I feel myself rambling so stop. She looks down at her a lap for a while and then gives me a reassuring smile,

"Sure that'd be cool" and hands me her phone to type it in. When we pull up to her car where'd it was left I swiftly jump out my side and open hers. She hops down, "Thanks for a great Harry I really had so much fun" I smile to myself realising it had been a success in more ways than one.

I don't know what comes over me but it just felt right and I slowly leant in. Our lips were so close but right before they met she turned her head so they landed on a cheek. Well I feel a bit stupid. "Thanks again Harry" She smiles and waves as she goes back to her car.

I got back in my car and started to drive back to my felt seeing as that boys are being a bit cold towards me especially Zayn but I have no idea why.

Tegan's P.O.V

He was perfect. The date was perfect. Everything was perfect except one thing. Every time I looked into those green eyes I couldn't help but wish they were blue.

I looked down at the address stored on my phone and type it in my sat navy and quickly drive off. I have to get Niall back. As I pull up outside a big apartment I feel my palms become sweaty where I was so nervous. I type in the security code Harry had given me earlier and walk up to the bag front door. I let out a deep breath and knocked on the door. When it opened I was greeted by brown hair and brown eyes who I knew from my sister was Zayn.

"Hi I umm just wanted to talk to Niall if that's possible?" I almost whispered from nerves. He looks me up and down for a bit.

"What's your name?"

"Tegan" As soon as I mentioned my name I saw his grip on the door became tighter.

"Sorry he's not in and if he was he wouldn't want to talk to you" With that the door was slammed in my face. I turned around and let the tears fall.

I realised I really had lost him before I'd even properly had him.
