Arnav came down after finishing his call to see ladies chatting around happily n living room with snacks of chai and samosas. It was half past six and Aarav was sleeping with Babuji in guest room, no doubt thoroughly exhausted.
Khushi was chatting animatedly looking so happy that he could literally feel the good vibes, happiness radiating from her, wafting through airs of RM just like her jasmine fragrance. Roses from his poolside paled in front of his jasmine. She always looked so beautiful but today she looked just perfect, blended yet distinct in her rightful place, at her home. Completely comfortable in her space as if RM has not spent two years in her absence.
Wo rang bhi kya rang hai
Milta na jo tere honth ke rang se hoobahu
Wo khushboo kya khushboo
Thehre na jo teri saanwli zulf ke roobaruTere aage ye duniya hai pheeki si
Mere bin tu na hogi kisi ki bhi
Ab ye zaahir sare-aam hai, ailaan haiJab tak jahaan me subah shaam hai
Tab tak mere naam tu
Jab tak jahaan mein mera naam hai
Tab tak mere naam tuWhat she has done today was pure, unadulterated love. Love that she had for him inspite of every damn bad thing. She has come here for him. He couldnt remember when he had hopped down the stairs so giddy in joy as he did today. Everything felt so refreshing, it was amazing. He was almost 30 & father of a very active kid yet it felt like he was a teenager meeting Khushi for first time.
Effect of new beginning perhaps.

Huddled together like secret agents, ladies were so deeply immersed in details of saree of some Mrs. Sharma whom they met at 'God- knows-which-umpteenth- gathering' that they failed to register his 'regal, powerful VIP ' presence even when he literally stood towering over his wife's head.
When he understood that all this dhak-dhak, feeling each other's presence even from a mile or other end of the city was obviously less practical thing than the charming zardosi border of Mrs. Sharma's 'bhuri gulabi ' saree(if that was even a color. He, for a record, as owner of a fashion designing company has never come across such color ), he shifted his attention to others. He scowled when he observed his 'aging' Nani who would usually tell him that she was tired after just fifteen minutes of his daily session with them, was comfortably sitting on same sofa since 5 hours, speaking non-stop like she always did at GH. (Bhura-brown , gulabi - pink)
He looked at the seven-women mandali scornfully. One was Ph.D scholar, other two successful restaurateurs, two worked non-stop to manage him, his wife, their son and his father-in-law, one had responsibility of managing whole household alone and not to mention the eldest/ oldest whatever one, who was supposed to be reading holy books - were all busy in one damn pallu that was not even physically present before them but on a 6 inch screen of his nut-case sister's phone. Women will be women!
The man sighed coz it didnt look like this discussion 'ten times more important than their respective professions' would come to end before forever. Soon his long kept patience of '10 minutes' gave way and he tapped Khushi's shoulder. She turned her neck to look at him, her mouth stuffed with the 'fifth samosa' he had seen her eating. God knows how many of these she had already consumed. This was madam's concept of rejuvenation. Lots of chai, jalebis, samosas, gossips and more gossips.
