"Boys are mean!"
A loud, irritated feminine voice bounced off the high ceiling of the Oak Ballroom, traveling through the air over three people in the room.
"Why do you say that, Rose?" A female servant patiently asked the silver-haired child while braiding her hair. The other two people in the room didn't spare the duo a glance.
"Because-" The small girl wiggled under the dexterous hands of the servant, "Today...well I am good at singing!"
"Yes you are, sweetheart--but...why are boys mean, Rose?" The servant smiled in amusement as the girl balled her fists and widened her eyes in overdramatic anger while she stared down the wall. "Did a boy say something mean about your singing?"
Rose nodded vigorously; the servant struggled to keep each plait smooth and orderly as she braided. "YEAH! I 'as singin' t-the song and I was singing. He said I sing wrong!" A mad pout presented itself on the girl's pale lips, finally getting the attention of one of the people in the room.
In his dapper outfit, the man who hadn't heard the previous conversation appeared dumbfounded at the semi-tantrum his daughter was throwing. His long legs strode over to the pair as he dismissed the other man he was talking to with a wave of the hand.
"What's got my Rose all upset?" Taehyung's arms unconsciously reached out to the girl placed on the Oak Servant's lap. Rose instantly bounded off the servant's lap and into her father's arms, unfinished braid dangling behind her like a half-finished woven basket. The servant began to protest but stopped herself as she saw how readily Rose latched onto the blonde, fiddling with the collar of his long cloak.
"Daddy..." The silver-haired girl pouted but didn't answer her father's question. A confused pair of dark eyes found the seated servant for an adequate response.
"Sir, Rose is just upset because of boy issues-" And when the blonde popped an eyebrow, "Erm--I mean, she's angry because a boy in her play group must've said something mean to her about her singing today. Right, Rose?"
As a response, the girl puffed her cheeks out and waved her head around in mock disapproval. Silver locks danced around Taehyung's vision and brushed against his face as he laughed.
"Oh my," The blonde twirled the girl in his arms around once, twice, until her frown dissipated. "Don't let boys tell you what you're good at hon. I've had to learn that the hard way, trust me."
The female servant stood up from her chair, smiling, not fully understanding what her master meant by the statement but not wanting to come off as rude. Rose continued to play with her father's robe while the lady turned to leave the girl in the arms of her father.
"Wait!" Taehyung set Rose down upon the ground, seeming to think about something. He placed a large, tan hand on top of the girl's unfinished braid as the girl gazed up at her dad. "Rose is expected for a check-up soon in the infirmary, could you take her by any chance?" The male abashedly pushed a thumb over his shoulder at the elegant, sparkling wedding gown laid upon the wide expanse of tables put together. The train of the gown was extremely long, yet pieces of it weren't as fully bedazzled as the blonde would have liked. Therefore, along with a helpful designer from the Laurel Castle, Taehyung was working incessantly to finish the masterpiece to have it sent North to its owner.
