Chapter 8

Rhianna's POV
*phone ringing*
My phone was ringing and it had woken me up. I walked to the bathroom so that I would not wake my friends and answered it.
"Rhi you up?" Shawn asked.
"No love it's 3 am. Why?" I asked.
"I couldn't sleep babe and I just wanted to hear your sweet and beautiful voice." Shawn said.
"Aww Shawn I love you baby. But I have to go back to sleep I have a big day tomorrow." I said.
"I know and I'm so excited for you love. What are you gonna sing for the finale?" Shawn asked me.
"I'm gonna sing Promise. The song that plays after illuminations at Epcot. It's a perfect ending to perfect show and it'll be a perfect ending to my journey on America Needs Talent." I told him.
"That sounds great love! I can't wait to hear you sing it." Shawn said.
"Ok I'm going back to sleep. Goodnight Shawn I love you." I said.
"I love you too Rhi." Shawn said.
I hung up and went back to sleep.

The next morning:
Rhianna's POV
I woke up very excited for tonight. I noticed my friends were still asleep. I didn't want to  wake them up so I went and ate my breakfast and started getting ready. I was almost ready when they woke up.
"Damn Rhi you already ready?" Erik asked.
"Yes bro. I'm so excited for today. But I gotta win America over and make them wanna vote for me." I said.
"Well I love you, Kira loves you, and Shawn loves you so America will to." Erik said.
"I sure hope so. But regardless of what happens, I have had a great time and most importantly met my boyfriend. Thank you guys so much for coming with me and being here for me. You guys are the best friends that anyone could ever have. I love you guys so much." I said.
"We love you too Rhi. We have enjoyed being with you on this incredible journey. And we will continue to be with you and support you no matter where life takes us or throws at us." Erik said.
"Thanks guys." I said while hugging my friends.
My friends ate breakfast and I finished getting ready. We got in the car and drove to America Needs Talent for the last time. Shawn was waiting for us when we got there.
"Good morning babe" Shawn said.
"Good morning love." I said.
We walked to the auditorium and sat down. Pretty soon Bob the announcer came to talk to us for the last time.
"Good morning contestants congratulations for making it to the finale of America Needs Talent. This is an exciting day for each of you. To win, you will have to give your best performance ever. You will draw numbers to see who goes when. Good luck contestants." Bob the announcer said.
I walked up towards the stage to draw my number but before I could Margo reached her leg out and tripped me. I fell on the floor with a loud thud.
"You think you're so great. Now look at you. Oh and I'm winning tonight." Margo said while slapping me on my arm while I was still trying to get up.
"Jackass" I heard Erik say under his breath as him and Shawn were helping me up.
"Are you ok Rhi?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah I'm fine I just got a bloody nose." I said while crying.
"Don't cry babe. She's just jealous of you because you're kinder and more talented than she will ever be." Shawn said hugging me.
He gave me a kiss.
"Yeah Rhi. Margo ain't nothing but a jackass. Don't let her get to you." Erik said.
"Thanks guys. Where did Kira go?" I asked.
"She went to draw your number for you. She wanted us to stay here and make sure you were ok." Shawn told me.
"Rhi I drew a three. You're going 3rd." Kira said.
"Thanks sis." I said.
"You're welcome. Oh and Margo goes 4th tonight. She has to follow you up." Kira said.
"I better get off the stage fast so she won't hurt me again." I said.
"We're all gonna make sure that won't happen again. Right guys?" Kira said.
"Right" Shawn shouted.
"Right" Erik shouted.
"Thanks guys. I love you all so much." I said.
We walked to my dressing room. I went in and practiced.
Margo's POV
I thought of a way to get Erik out of the way until I can win this thing so he won't try to stop my evil plans. I couldn't do anything since he was always around.  Now is my chance. I thought. I got a bottle of Mountain Dew and mixed it with medicine to make Erik sleep. I saw Erik walking back to Rhianna's dressing room. I stopped him.
"Would you like a Mountain Dew? I hear they're your favorite." I asked him.
"Of course." Erik said and took it without a thought.
He drank a sip of it. In a few minutes he fell to the ground with a thud. My plan is working. MWHAHAHA!!! I laughed.
Erik's POV
I woke up in a chair all tied up. I couldn't move. I knew I shouldn't have trusted Margo but I wanted that Mountain Dew so bad. I hope she hasn't done anything to Rhianna. I thought.
"Margo why in the hell did you do this to me?" I asked.
"I couldn't do anything to Rhianna until you were out of the picture. Every time I tried to hurt her, you stopped me. Margo said.
"Well hell yeah I stopped ya. She's my best friend and I don't want anything bad to happen to her ever." I said.
"Well after tonight you won't see her again that's for damn sure." Margo said.
"You will not put a hand on her! I won't let you." I said.
"How are you gonna stop me sitting there all tied up? Oh that's right you're not. MWHAHAHA!" Margo said.
"You're right." I said.
I hung my head and began to cry. I didn't want anything bad to happen to my friend.
"Margo please don't do this. You can hurt me instead. Rhianna doesn't deserve the pain. I do." I said to Margo crying.
Margo ignored me and went on singing and practicing her song.
"I'd rather you kill me than listen to you sing another note." I said.
"Shut up jackass." Margo said.
I had to think of a way to get out of here and warn Rhianna. I sat there until I thought of an idea. I wiggled my way free enough to move a bit. Maybe if I make lots of noise someone will hear me and help me. I took off my shoe and threw it at a vase. It smashed into a million pieces.
"What the hell are you doing? That was my favorite vase." Margo yelled.
I ignored her. I saw a mirror on the edge of the table. I wiggled around until I could grab it. I threw it on the ground and it broke. Seven years of bad luck but at least I'll be alive and free I thought.
"Why are you smashing my stuff are you mad?" Margo asked.
I took off my other shoe and threw it at the big mirror where Margo was sitting looking at herself. It broke and glass fell everywhere. Margo began to bleed. Make that 14 years I thought.
"Look what you did." Margo said pointing at her arm and crying.
I kinda felt bad for her. I didn't mean to hurt her I just wanted to be free so I could warn Rhianna. I had ran out of things to smash. I just hoped someone heard me.
Shawn's POV
"That was beautiful Rhi." I said as Rhianna finished her song.
Suddenly I heard glass breaking.
"Did you hear that Rhi? It sounds like it's coming from Margo's room." I said.
"It's probably just her getting angry again and smashing things." Rhianna said.
"Yeah probably. You keep practicing love. I gotta go pee." I said.
I walked out of the dressing room and went towards the bathroom. I saw Kira walking around looking concerned.
"What's wrong Kira?" I asked.
"I'm looking for Erik. He went to pee about 2 hours ago and he never came back." Kira told me.
I had a bad feeling in my chest.
"Have you looked everywhere for him?" I asked.
"Yes. I'm worried about him. And when Rhianna finds out she's gonna be upset." Kira said.
Suddenly I heard Erik scream. It came from Margo's room.
"That sounded like Erik." Kira said.
"And it didn't sound good. It's coming from Margo's room. I'm gonna go tell Rhianna." I said.
"Ok I'll be right here waiting for you." Kira said.
I walked to the door of Rhianna's dressing room. I opened the door.
"Rhianna come quick Erik is in trouble. I heard a scream come from Margo's room." I told her.
"Oh my God! Not my brother please God don't tell me she hurt my brother." Rhianna said crying.
"I hope he's ok." I said.
"He's probably dead by now." Rhianna said.
"Don't talk like that." I said.
We walked back and met Kira in the hall.
Rhianna's POV
I ran towards Margo's door.
"What are you doing Rhi?" Kira asked.
"I'm gonna save my brother." I said.
I ran towards the door and kicked it down. I kicked it so hard it broke in half. I saw Margo trying to choke Erik. His face was purple.
"Let go of my brother right freaking now!" I screamed.
"Rhianna. Thank God!" Erik said and smiled after he caught his breath again.
"Rhianna you stupid little bitch." Margo said.
"If only you worked on your performance as much as you worked on evil plans then you'd be successful." I said.
Margo ran over to me and tried to punch me. But before she could Kira came out of nowhere and knocked her to the ground.
"Ugh why do you always take her side." Margo said.
"Because she is our friend." Kira said.
"Hell yeah." Erik yelled.
Kira held Margo down while I went over to Erik to help him free.
"You saved my life Rhi. Thank you. You're the best friend a guy could ever ask for." Erik said.
"Thanks bro. Where are your shoes?" I asked.
"I threw them so I could smash the vase and mirror. I was trying to be loud enough to get someone's attention and my plan worked." Erik said.
"Yeah and he cut me." Margo said while pointing to her wounded arm.
"I was just trying to get free. I didn't mean to hurt you Margo. I would never hurt someone intentionally like you would." Erik said.
"Im sorry my friend hurt you Margo but you deserved it for tying him up. He had to do what he had to do to get free." I said.
"Yeah always take up for the weirdo." Margo said.
Shawn gave me his pocket knife to cut the ropes and free Erik. While I was freeing Erik, Shawn went to round up Erik's shoes. When he found them, he gave them to me and I made sure there wasn't any glass shards in them. I then gave them to Erik to put back on. Once Erik was free he gave me a big hug.
"I love you Rhianna. Thanks again for not letting me die." Erik said.
"I love you too bro. And I couldn't let Margo hurt you." I said.
"Shawn can you stay here with Margo til I get back." Kira said.
"Of course." Shawn said while holding Margo down.
Kira returned and she had brought Bob the announcer back with her.
"What happened to the door?" Bob asked.
"I busted it down. But I had to to save my friend. I'll pay for it." I told Bob.
"Save your friend?" Bob asked.
Shawn,Kira, Erik, and I told Bob what had happened.
"Oh my goodness! I didn't think Margo was that mean." Bob said.
Bob walked over to Margo.
"I'm sorry but I have to disqualify you from the competition because you tried to hurt Rhianna and her friend Erik. Leave immediately." Bob said.
"But Rhianna is a horrible person. Please give me another chance." Margo said.
"I'm sorry Margo but I don't wanna put Rhianna or any other contestant in danger so leave right now." Bob said.
"YOU RUINED MY CHANCE AND MY LIFE!!! I FREAKING HATE YOU RHIANNA! AND THIS IS WHAT YOU GET!!!" Margo yelled while picking up a picture frame.
Before I could react, Margo smashed the picture frame against my face. I blacked out.
Shawn's POV
"Rhianna...Rhianna...please get up." I said.
Rhianna didn't move. She was out cold.
I began to cry.
"Oh my goodness!" Kira said.
"No! Not my sis! Rhianna get up. Please for the love of God get up." Erik yelled while crying.
"Margo come with me young lady. I'm gonna have you arrested." Bob said.
"The competition starts in an hour and our best contestant is down and out. I don't wanna continue the show without her in it. Because I like Rhianna I'll postpone the finale til tomorrow. I hope she feels better." Bob said.
"Thanks Bob. I'm sure she would thank you right now if she could." I said.
Erik, Kira, and I picked Rhianna up and took her to the car. I sat in the backseat with her laying on my chest.
"You're ok now Rhianna. Margo is in jail now." I said while stroking her beautiful blonde hair.
"Ohh ohh." I heard Rhianna say.
She was starting to come to.
"Where am I? What happened?" Rhianna asked.
"Margo smashed a picture frame in your face and hurt you bad. But don't worry tho. She's been arrested. Bob is delaying the competition til tomorrow so that you'll still be able to participate. Of course Margo has been disqualified." I told her.
"So that's what happened. I only remember saving Erik. That's the last thing I remember." Rhianna said.
"So now we are on the way back to the hotel so you can get some rest." I said.
"We're all so glad you're ok. It scared us so bad when you blacked out." Erik said.
"I didn't mean to scare y'all. Am I gonna be ok?" Rhianna asked.
"We think so but we're gonna have a doctor come over and look at you. And I'm gonna stay with you tonight while Erik and Kira get some sleep." I said.
"You sure? I don't wanna be a burden." Rhianna asked.
"Don't be silly Rhi, you're my girlfriend and I'm gonna make sure you're ok." I said.
We got to the hotel and I helped Erik and Kira carry Rhianna in and put her to bed.
Rhianna's POV
I laid in bed. I appreciated my friends and boyfriend for  taking care of me. The doctor came in to look at me.
"Is she gonna be ok?" Shawn asked.
"Yes. But she's going to need stitches. Her cuts are really deep. She lost too much blood and that's why she blacked out and is weak. She should be better by tomorrow for the finale. I'm going to go ahead and give her stitches." The doctor said.
"Stitches! I can't show my face on that stage in stitches!" I screamed.
"Rhi it's gonna be fine. You're fans will love you still if that's what you're upset about." Shawn reassured me.
"Do you still love me? Even with stitches all over my face?" I asked.
"Yes Rhianna. You're still as beautiful as the day I met you and nothing is ever gonna stop me from loving you baby." Shawn said. He gave me a big kiss on my forehead. The doctor started on my stitches. When he finished I went to sleep excited for the finale tomorrow.
