Chapter 9

*the next day*
Shawn's POV
I woke up and saw Rhianna was still asleep. Erik and Kira were already awake.
"Good morning guys." I said.
"Good morning bro." Erik said.
"Good morning Shawn. Kira said.
I walked over to where Rhianna was sleeping. I gave her a little kiss on the cheek.
"Everything is going to be ok Rhianna I promise. You're going to do wonderful tonight. I love you so much baby." I told her as she slept.
I had an idea to help boost Rhianna's confidence.
"Hey guys I have a great idea to help Rhianna gain more confidence in herself. Why don't we throw her a good luck party and invite some of her fans as well." I suggested to them.
"Omg she would love that Shawn." Erik said.
"Yeah she's probably still upset about what happened yesterday so this would be good for her." Kira said.
"Ok guys let's go get it set up you guys. I will tweet it out to let her fans know and leave a note so she knows where we are." I said.
"Ok let's go." Erik said.
Erik and Kira followed me to the car. We drove to the studio to set the party up.
"We will need pickles because those are her favorite." Erik reminded me.
"Of course. She likes figment too so can you help me with that." I asked him.
"Of course." Erik replied.
Bob the announcer walked over to see what we were doing.
"What's all this for?" Bob the announcer asked.
"We're throwing a good luck party for Rhianna. She's lost her confidence because of what happened yesterday so that's why we are doing it." I explained.
"Splendid! Can I come to?" Bob the announcer asked.
"Of course you can all of Rhianna's fans are invited." I said.
We continued to set up the party.

Rhianna's POV
It was morning time. I was so excited for today. My face still hurt but I had to do it for my fans. I got out of bed and noticed Shawn and my friends were gone.
"Shawn, Erik Kira! Where are y'all?" I yelled.
No one answered.
I began to cry. They left me I thought. They don't love me anymore I thought. I was having an anxiety attack when suddenly my phone rang. I answered it. It was Shawn.
"Hey baby how are you feeling?" He asked me.
"I'm feeling ok but my face is still hurting a bit." I told him.
"Where the hell are you? You, Erik, and , Kira are no where to be found. Do you not love me anymore? It's because of my face injury isn't it?" I said
"Baby that's not true at all. I still love you so freaking much. You deserve the world. Erik and Kira are with me. Didn't you read my note?" Shawn asked.
"I didn't see a note baby I'm sorry. You know this anxiety makes me think the worst love." I said.
"Read my note please baby. I love you so much."  Shawn told me.
"I love you too love muffin." I said.
We hang up the phone and I read his note.
It said:
Dear Rhianna,
Erik, Kira and I have a big surprise for you. It's down at the America Needs Talent studio. We can't wait for you to see your surprise. We love you so much.
Love,
Shawn.
Omg a surprise for me I thought. I put on my clothes and finished getting ready and took a taxi to the America Needs Talent studio. When I got there I tried to find Shawn and my friends. Instead I found Bob the announcer.
"Have you seen my friends?" I asked him.
"Yes right this way." He said.
He showed me to a door. It was Margo's old dressing room.
"I don't wanna go in there. Brings back bad memories from yesterday." I said.
"Yes but you're friends and your surprise is in there. I have a feeling you're gonna love it." Bob the announcer said.
I knocked on the door.
"Here she comes everyone be quiet." I heard Shawn say from behind the door.
"It's unlocked Rhi come on in." Erik said from behind the door.
I opened the door.
"Surprise!" Everyone in the room yelled.
The room was full of people I didn't know along with my friends. There was a big model of spaceship earth on the wall with figment sitting on top of it.
"Hello my love. I knew you had bad memories in this room so I wanted to create a good one. I know your confidence hasn't been the best since yesterday so Erik, Kira, and I decided to throw you a good luck party. I invited your fans here too. I love you so much." Shawn said as he gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Baby it's perfect thank you." I said.
Erik and Kira ran up to me and hugged me.
We ate pickles and tater tots and laughed and had a good time. Some of my fans came up to me.
"Rhianna we love you so much." One fan said.
"Aww I love you too." I said as a gave the fan a hug and an autograph.
"You're the one that inspired me to be a musician." Another fan said.
"I'm glad I could give you a passion for music." I said.
"Rhianna you're my celebrity crush. Can I have a kiss?" A little boy asked me.
"I'll have to check with my boyfriend first. Shawn can I give this little fella a kiss?" I asked Shawn while laughing.
"Of course I don't mind love." Shawn said.
I kissed the little fan and took a picture with him and gave him a hug and an autograph.  I haven't felt this good about myself in a long time. I felt so loved.
I saw a familiar friend. It was Hailey.
"Hey Rhianna. Congrats on making it this far." Hailey said.
"Thanks Hailey. Thanks for coming all this way to see me." I said.
"I was on vacation in NYC and thought I'd stop by and say hello." She said.
"I'm glad you did Hailey." I said.
"I'm glad I have a friend like you. And I'm sorry again for being mean to you all these years. I truly am." Hailey said.
"Hailey I told you we are cool now. No need for apologies." I told her.
I gave her a hug. I was having such a good time with my fans and friends that I almost forgot about practicing for tonight.
"I'm so sorry guys but I have to go and practice for tonight. I've had the best day ever today no matter what happens tonight because I've been with my fans and the ones who love me most. I love you guys so much." I told the crowd.
"We love you too Rhianna good luck tonight." The crowd screamed.
I went to my dressing room and practiced my song. I practiced for an hour and got ready for the competition to start. I left my dressing room and went next door to see Shawn and the others cleaning up the mess from the party.
"Hey baby. Good luck tonight. I love you." Shawn said as I entered the room.
"Thanks love muffin. I love you too." I said.
"You're gonna win tonight I just know it." Erik said.
"I don't know about that bro but I'll try my best and give it my best shot." I said.
I hugged my friends and went over to Shawn and he gave me a kiss.
"Thanks for the party today baby. It helped me feel so much better. And none of my fans even mentioned my face." I said.
"You're welcome baby and they didn't mention it because it's not important. They love you for you. Not for how you look. Now get up there and do me, your friends, and your fans proud." Shawn said to reassure me.
I walked towards the auditorium and when I got there I sat down. Pretty soon Bob the announcer came on stage.
"Welcome back contestants to our final round. As you can tell we are one contestant short. Margo was disqualified from the competition because she hurt someone so it is just you three. The competition starts in 30 minutes so give it all you got because it is the last chance to wow the viewers and get votes to win the competition. Good luck and may the best contestant win." Bob the announcer said.
The other contestants looked at me and my horrible face. They knew it was me Bob was talking about. I felt like crying but then I remembered how much my fans and friends loved me. Pretty soon it was time for the final round of competition to start. I was going second.
"Welcome back America to America Needs Talent. Tonight these contestants will be singing for your votes and a chance to win the competition. Keep in mind the winner gets a record deal to any company they choose. Now let the competition begin." Bob the announcer said.
The first contestant went on.
*Meanwhile in jail*
Margo's POV
I turned on the tv to watch America Needs Talent to see Rhianna lose. It was her singing next. " I hate her so much. She ruined my life and chance to be famous." I yelled.
"Hey keep it down." An inmate said.
"You see those stitches Rhianna has? I did that to her and I can do it to you so shut up." I said. I continued to watch.
*back at America Needs Talent*
Rhianna's POV
"Next up is Rhianna singing Promise from Epcot's illuminations reflections of earth." Bob the announcer said while introducing me.
I walked to the stage. Most Everyone in the audience gasped when they saw me.
"What happened to Rhianna?" I heard someone ask.
I felt terrible. I felt ready to walk off the stage and go home. I saw Shawn in the audience smiling and blowing me kisses. I decided to stay and do it because he made me feel better. I started singing and gave it my all. I looked at Shawn the whole time.
"Thanks Rhianna for singing that beautiful song for us." Bob the announcer said.
The other contestant went and then we were all called back onstage to announce the winner. I was so nervous and excited at the same time.
"America has voted and the winner of America Needs Talent is..........Rhianna. Congrats Rhianna. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited.
*back at the jailhouse*
Margo's POV
Please don't let Rhianna win. Please oh please. I thought. "And the winner of America Needs Talent is.....Rhianna." The tv said.
"NO NO NO!" I yelled while throwing the remote at the tv.
"DAMN BITCH DIDN'T DESERVE IT!!!!" I yelled.
*back at America Needs Talent*
Rhianna's POV
"Congrats Rhianna." Bob the announcer said as he gave me a big trophy with a microphone on top.
"Thank you America. I'm so happy you chose me to be your next Talent winner. If you would've told me that I would've won 3 weeks ago I would've never believed you. This is so crazy. Thanks so much to all of my fans for voting for me. Without you guys none of this would even be possible. Also I would like to thank my best friends Erik and Kira for encouraging me to even audition for this show. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have had the courage to audition in the first place. Thanks so much for all you do for me I love you. Lastly, I'd like to thank my boyfriend Shawn Mendes for being there for me always. I love you love muffin. Speaking of my boyfriend I'd like to announce that I will be joining him on his tour as his opening act. Thanks so much again America." I said.
"So which record label are you signing with?" Bob the announcer asked.
"Island Records so I can be label mates with my wonderful boyfriend." I said.
"Ok! Give it up one more time for your new talent winner. That's all for this season America. Join us next season as we crown a new winner. I'm Bob the announcer saying so long til next time America." Bob the announcer said as he signed off the show.
I ran off stage for the last time and ran towards Shawn.
"Omg baby you did it. I'm so happy for you love." Shawn said running up towards me.
He gave me a big kiss.
"PDA" Erik screamed trying to be funny.
I laughed.
"I told you you were gonna win." Erik said.
"Yes you did." I said.
"Omg Rhi you were amazing. I'm so happy you won sis." Kira said.
"Thanks you guys. I love you all." I told them.
"Tour starts in 2 weeks love. I'm so happy you decided to join me." Shawn said.
"It's gonna be so much fun. Kira can be my fashion designer and Erik can film my music videos and concert footage for the both of us." I said.
"That sounds like a good idea love." Shawn said.
We walked out of the America Needs Talent studio together for the last time.
