I stare out the window watching the sun set. The sky is a pinkish and a orangey with a little of light purple mixed between them. I wait anxiously until the sun finally sets and the fun can begin. There's a couple of parents and their kids walking down the street getting a quick start on trick or treating.
There's two kids dressed as minions and I'm guessing their father is dressed a Gru and the dog the wiener dog they have is dressed as a hot dog. It's so cute and I begin to giggle. After a ten more minutes the sun finally sets and the street lights turn on. "Show Time!" I shout and raise my hands in the air.
I make sure I grab my house keys so we won't get locked out when we come back. The girls trail behind me as I start our candy getting journey. We begin at the house right next to mine. It has tombstones and some fake skeletons hanging from the trees. We walk up the path way and I knock. The door swings open revealing my neighbor who is dressed as a witch and her face is painted green.
"Trick or treat." We all say in unison.
"My don't we have some pretties this night." She says in a weird witch kind like voice. She grabs a handful of candy and drops the candy into our buckets.
"Thank you." I say as we all walk to the next house. We continue on getting each house and getting candy. The cold air begins to breeze by causing me to shiver. The dried up orangey leafs crunch underneath my feet as I step onto them. I dig into my bucket of candy and begin unwrapping them and popping the candy into my mouth.
"Sheesh can you at least until we get back home." Jesy snickers. I try to at least reply back to her but my mouth is full of candy it just comes out in incoherent mumbles. We reach to house that always has the best Halloween decorations and is always the scariest house on the block. They have a fog machine for god sake's and things just pop out of nowhere. It's so exillerating.
"Let's go let's go." I say while jumping up and down. The girls roll their eyes at my excitement, i think I got a suagr rush. I grab a hold of Leigh hand and we go up to the house. The best part of this house they always give butt loads of candy.
We begin to walk to the house and the fog creeps about onto our ankles. The front yard is made into a maze and Leigh squeezes my hand letting me know she's already scared.
"That thing is going to move." She points to a scarecrow that's just sitting in a lawn chair. "Oh god it's going to move." She leans in closer to me. "It's going to move. I just know it." She squeaks.
"No it's not." I tell her. We walk right past it and it doesn't move. "See it didn't move." Liegh relaxes a bit but the scarecrow comes up from behind us and scares the living crap out of us. I begin to laugh as the adrenaline of being scared courses through out my body. Leigh clutches at her chest and looks completely scared.
"I told you it was going to move!" She pouts and swats at me, which just causes me to laugh some more. I just love being scared, I love the thrill of it. We continue into the maze and Leigh literally won't stop clinging to me. We make various left and rights turns and having many things jump out at us and scaring us. I think Leigh and Jade are on the verge of tears and I find it very funny. We finally make it out of the maze and onto the front porch where a couple are dressed as a a dead bribe and groom. There's fake blood stained onto the woman's dress and the groom has a bullet wound on the side of his head. The wound honestly looks real, there's fake blood trickling down the side.
I shiver a bit at the fact how real it looks. "Trick or treat." I say.
"Wow what lovely costumes you girls have." The dead bride says.
"Thank you." We all say the same time. The dead groom gives us all two handfuls of different kinds of candy and I am totally grateful. My bucket of candy feels so much heavier and I can't wait to get home and eat it all.
We turn back to exit the property. "Glad that is over now. I don't think I can handle anymore things jumping out at me." Leigh chuckles. We walk slowly as we pass by this huge tree that is filled with orange and yellow leafs. Jesy and Jade trail behind us as we walk. Suddenly this mechanical skeleton almost the as the one at the costume store drops from the tree scaring all for off us. Our piercing shrieks echo through out the neighborhood.
"God I love Halloween." I see the couple high fiving each other and laughing at our misery. "Happy Halloween girls ." The couple beams.
"it was worth it, we got candy that's all that matters." I say. The girls glare at me and begin to walk away. "What? What I say?" I lightly jog to catch up to them.

After an hour and a half of trick or treating we call it a night.and head home. We all got a very good amount of candy and I can't wait to dig in. The wind has picked up a bit and made it so much colder outside. The clouds have turned grey and cast over the full moon creating this eery and scary atmosphere. A chill goes down my spine as we walk back to my house.
The sky booms and rain begins to fall. We all squeal and shriek as the cold water pelts down on us. My house is a good fifteen minute walk and we certainly didn't expect this. We run towards my house trying to get out of the rain as soon as possible, but it only comes down harder and getting us completely soaked.
All the other people try to shield themselves from the rain and you can hear the screams of the children as the rain catches them off guard. We take refuge underneath this big tree and we're all shivering as the wind blows by. "Ugh why did it have to rain?" I groan.
"Come just a little more and we reach Perrie's house." Jesy says. All of our teeth are chattering and we're freezing out here. "Just one more sprint." She tries to encourage us. I don't want to run out into the rain again but sure as hell I am not going just stay under this tree.
"Okay on three." They all sprint away. " I meant on three not when I say three." I fling my arms into the air. "I have the keys dumb asses." i call out to them. There's no use the have left me behind. I run after them. After a five minute jog i finally catch up to them and they are waiting for me at my front porch.
"Hurry." Jade whines.
"I am." I insert the key into my the lock and unlock it. I swing the door open the girls rush in. I switch on the lights and drop my bucket of candy at the entrance of the door.
"I'm going to get us pajamas." Jesy says and trails up my stairs to go fetch dry clothes.
"I've got the money and the number for the pizza." I hear Jade call out from my kitchen.
"And I got the scary movies." Leigh says. I take of my drenched white shoes and place them by the floor. I pick up my bucket and dump the candy onto the coffee table that is in the living room. I go through all the candies sorting out which one I like and most likely would trad with the girls.
"I got the dry clothes." Jesy comes back and puts the pile of dry clothes onto the the sofa. She has already change and has her hair tied into a bun.
"I ordered the pizza , it'll be here in thirty minutes." Jade says and come into the living room. She begins to strip from her costume and I decide I should get out of the these soaking clothes as well. We're all friend here and we're all girls so I don't mind changind in front of them. I pull out a shirt from the pile and I accidently make fall onto the floor. A lound sounds echoes through the living room and I look down at what caused that noise.
I feel the blood drain from my face and feel my eyes go wide. I can't believe what I'm seeing right in front of me. I thought I got rid of that Ouija box. I threw it away. How is it back in the house again? A loud clap of thunder booms making me jump. What the fuck?
