24 June 1995
Unlike the first and second tasks, the morning before the third, was eerily glum.
Everyone in the castle knew just how dangerous this tournament was, and for some reason, the melancholy aura that surrounded the Great Hall was extra thick today. Many knew something was wrong.
If only they truly knew what was going to occur in the coming hours.
Alexandrina and Fleming sat together at the Slytherin table, the latter trying to get her friend's mind off of everything.
Alexandrina rolled a vile in-between her fingers in her pocket, she felt uneasy, but for Fleming's sake, she placed a content grin on her face as her friend told her all about Fred Weasley.
She was beyond grateful for the boy, for she had never seen Fleming so in love with anybody before. She loved the way Fleming talked about him, feeling the same way about Cedric.
But the way Fleming had changed from being with him, marveled her. He brought out the best in her, and Alexandrina saw the way her smile grew brighter when he was around, and the way her eyes twinkled when he joked about something that wasn't even the slightest bit funny.
Alexandrina could already see how beautiful their future would be.
She was listening to Fleming talk about how Fred had accidentally lit her robes on fire in class, when Draco Malfoy walked by the two girls, smiling only slightly at Alexandrina in the process.
Fleming watched Alexandrina smile back, and narrowed her eyes in thought. Fleming had a feeling in her gut, but she couldn't describe what it was yet.
"When did you become friends with Draco Malfoy" Fleming emphasized Draco's name when she spoke, and Alexandrina shifted her attention back to her friend.
"A few days ago, we talked for hours about, well, nothing and everything really" Alexandrina shrugged, "And I sorta told him about his 'missing memory'"
"You did WHAT Alex?!" Fleming burst out, "You do realize he's going to tell his git of a father and probably have me sent to Askaban right"
"Hold o-"
"I'm too young to be considered a criminal holy goodness, those bloody Malfoys always-"
"Can you shut-"
"Alexandrina we are beyond screwed"
"Shut up Flems! Good god let me speak woman!" Alexandrina shook her head in disbelief, "Don't you think we would be in Askaban already if he was going to tell his father?"
"Oh"
"Besides, we had an understanding, he won't say anything about anything"
Fleming gave her a look, "Who knew Draco Malfoy really does have a crush on you, and here I was thinking it was just a rumor"
