A/N
Finally finished this chapter! This was fun to write! Also it kinda long soooo yea. Request from mere1018Eddie was sick. He had a cold and had to stay home from school. It wasn't even that bad. Just a cough and stomach problems, but a usual, his mother was overreacting and making him take a bunch of pills to 'make him better'.
The losers missed Eddie, even though he could be annoying sometimes. Whenever they would do something that would probably make Eddie go crazy and list all of the sanitation facts, they remembered that he wasn't there. Richie missed him the most. It's been three days since he had cracked a mom joke, and he couldn't bear it. So he decided to go visit Eddie.
Richie knew his plan was stupid. All of the moms in Darry hated him, especially Mrs. K. She was mad that Eddie even hung out with him in the first place. Also, Richie wasn't aloud in Eddie's house without one of the other losers in there with him. Mrs. K didn't trust Eddie alone with Richie. It was something about him that no one trusted. Maybe it was because he was a trash mouth, or maybe because he was known for making bad decisions. Richie never really listened to them. He brushed it off without another care in the world.
The losers were supposed to hang out at the quarry, but Richie went to the kaspbrak's house instead. He thought that if he told the rest of the losers that he was going to see Eddie they would for sure tease him, or tell him that same old bullshit about how Eddie's mom hated him and would never let him inside of her house. That why he was going to sneak in.
It wouldn't be the first time Richie has ever snuck into anywhere. He snuck out of his house all the time, so it shouldn't be that hard.
Richie was walking on the sidewalk, trying to remember the directions Eddie took whenever he and the other losers would go to Eddie's house, which wasn't very often. He looked up to see all the houses neatly in a row, all of them looking identical to each other. Eddie's house looked the same as every house on this street, two-story houses with a small little driveway and nice porch.
It only took three wrong guesses to finally find Eddie's house. He recognized his mom's car, the ugly green minivan. (I don't know what his mom's car is so don't yell at me if I got it wrong if anyone knows what it is plz tell me and I can change it)
Richie walked around the house a couple of times to see where it was best to sneak into. As Richie was walking around the house, he saw one window that was slightly open, so he walked closer to it to try and look in.
Inside of the window was the bathroom, no one was in it, thank god. The walls were blue, with a white toilet and sink next to each other on the other side of the door. It had picture frames in there with pictures of Eddie as a baby. 'Weird place to put them' Richie thought. Richie was going to open the window more so he could try to get in until he heard noises behind the door. He ducked down so whoever came in wouldn't see him.
" I'm going to the bathroom mom" Eddie said, opening the door and then closing it.
Richie popped his head back up to see Eddie. His hair was massy and not combed, his nose was red and he looked tired, dark circles underneath his eyes.
Richie wanted to keep looking at Eddie, maybe even try to get his attention, but that was until Eddie actually went to use the bathroom. Richie turned away, his face burning red.
After Eddie was done, Richie popped his head back up, once again, and saw Eddie washing his hands.
"You really should keep your bathroom window closed, who knows if creeps are staring at you when you go to take a shit." Richie said, causing Eddie to jump back and screaming. Eddie looked around to see where the voice was coming from, automatically recognizing Richie's voice.
"Holy shit I'm going crazy." Eddie said to himself unaware that Richie was literally right there next to him, only outside of his house.
There was a knocking on the door followed by Eddie's mom asking if he was ok.
"Eddy bear, are you ok? Do you need me to come in there with you?" Mrs. K said through the door. Richie laughed at Eddie's little nickname that his mom gave him.
"Yeah I'm ok mommie." Eddie replied, too freaked out to say anything else.
Richie waited until he heard eddie's mom leave to finally speak again.
"I'm over here Eddie Bear." Richie said, raising his voice to make him sound like Mrs. K.
Eddie turned his head to look at the window, finally seeing the black curls on the other side of the window. Eddie stepped closer to the window, unsure if it was just his imagination or if it was actually Richie.
"Richie? Is that really you?" Eddie whispered, making sure that his mom wouldn't hear him.
Richie moved his head up a little higher so Eddie could see him better. Eddie saw Richie and then hurried to open the window more so he could get into the bathroom. Richie jumped into the house, trying his best not to make a sound. Eddie helped him to stand up, his hands on his shoulders, steadying Richie.
"What the hell are you doing here Richie?" Eddie questions, moving over to the bathroom door and locking it.
"To visit my favorite person in the whole world!" Richie pinched Eddie's cheeks making him blush.
He swatted richies hand away, rubbing his cheek where Richie pinched.
Eddie was happy Richie was here. It had been three days since he had heard one of richies stupid jokes and he missed them, but he was also scared that his mom would find out that Richie was in his house, let alone, him being with Richie in the first place.
So Eddie just put a hand over richies mouth, and put a finger over his own mouth, signaling to be quiet, which Richie got the hint. Eddie walked over to the door and unlocked it, opening it and looking out to see if his mom was anywhere near the bathroom. The coast was clear, so Eddie led Richie out of the bathroom and into eddies bedroom, trying to be as quiet as possible.
When Eddie and Richie both got into eddies room they shut the door and locked it.
"So, how you been Eds? Haven't seen you in ages!" Richie said.
Eddie laughed to himself before muttering "don't call me Eds."
"Huh? What was that? Call you Eds I hear? Well of course Eddie spaghetti!"
Eddie was about to start complaining, but instead of words that came out of his mouth, he felt like he was gonna barf.
Eddie quickly ran to the bathroom in his room and threw up in the toilet. Richie hurried over to Eddie and grabbed a cloth rag and ran it under the sink. When Eddie was done puking, Richie cleaned Eddie's face with the washcloth.
"T..thanks Richie." Eddie said quietly, his throat still burning from throwing up.
"Just stay quiet I'll clean you up." Richie said fondly.
He finished cleaning Eddie up and lead him over to his bed. He pulled the covers back and Eddie got in. After Eddie got tucked into his bed, Richie went on the other side of him and laid down next to Eddie.
"You ok?" Richie asked, making sure his tiny friend was comfortable.
Eddie didn't say anything, he just nodded his head yes. Richie wrapped an arm around Eddie so that they were cuddling.
"Richie?" Eddie's voice was quiet.
"Mhmm?" Richie hummed.
Eddie waited a moment to respond. Was he really going to tell him? The one thing that was aching in his heart for so long, and even if Richie hated him for it, at least he got the nerves to get it out.
"I...I love you"
There was no response. It was just dead silence. Eddie counted down the seconds that Richie would yell at him, or call him homophobic slurs. He could feel tears welling up in his eyes, daring to come streaming down his face.
"Me too Eds, me too."
