Before the sunlight filtered through the curtains, Jennie stirred awake. She pulled the blanket to her neck and slowly blinked open her eyes.
Eh? This isn't the guest room. She scanned her surroundings as her sight adjusted to the dimness.
It's... Jisoo's.
The paper she was writing on last night rustled under her palm. I must have dozed off.
With a huff, she pushed herself into a sitting position, causing the blanket to slide off her shoulders. Only it was not a blanket; it was a blazer. Hmm? Did I take it from the wardrobe by accident?
She raked her fingers through her hair and turned to the bedside clock.
632am. It's the day of her discharge and the day of her farewell.
Jennie steered her thoughts to the bright side before she could sigh.
At least we agreed to try to stay in each other's lives. That's at least something.
Heart fluttering, she smiled and hugged the blazer to her chest with a squeeze. Then she folded it neatly next to her letter and hopped off the bed.

Before she knew it, she had spent the whole morning with Rosé, Lisa and Dara preparing the apartment for Jisoo's farewell party. The rest of the soccer girls were in charge of food and drinks and would be there later in the afternoon.
"There, all set!" Lisa announced after she successfully hung the string of letters on the wall. She dusted her hands off with pride and they all took a step back together to admire the decorated place.
"I bet she'll cry when she sees this," Rosé looked around, grinning.
Dara let out a small gasp at her watch, "Oh, look! It's time for us to get Jisoo now."
Splitting an uncontrollable smile, Jennie grabbed and threw her bag over her shoulder as she made her way to the door. After sliding into her shoes, she realized the others were still standing where they were, staring at her with cheeky sly faces.
"What?" Jennie shrugged and gestured with her palms.
"Oh, nothing," Rosé teased. "Just..." She trailed off and shrugged too.
"Someone's an eager beaver today, that's all," Lisa finished her girlfriend's sentence.
The brunette's face heated up and she covered it with her hands, groaning, "Ugh, hurry up, girls! Your soccer mates will be here any minute!"
"Oh, right, like that's what you're worried about." Even her own mother was poking fun at her.
Rolling her eyes, Jennie bit her lip but it failed to suppress her growing smile that was so obvious to the world.
----------
Like a pack of otters, they barreled into Jisoo's ward.
"We're here!!" They exploded with excitement only to meet with an empty, neatly-made bed. "Eh?"
"Is she in the bathroom?" Jennie moved across the room and pulled open the door to the en-suite, but the raven was not in there.
Lisa scratched her head, "Maybe she's outside, waiting for us already?"
Confused, they went to the reception and asked for Jisoo's whereabouts. The nurse checked against the records in the computer and shot them a bewildered look.
"She has left."
"What?!" They bellowed and then immediately apologized for shocking the many people around them. "When?"
