I didn't even know where I was going. My feet were just taking me wherever they wanted to go. All that was on my mind was the small, blanket-wrapped baby dragon being cradled in my arms.

"You're such a fricking idiot!"

Something attacked me from behind and I was yanked back into reality as I fell forward. I stepped forward and caught myself before I were to fall on top of the creature.

"What the hell are you thinking?" Hydrinn slapped me over the top of my head. "You're really not just going to leave, are you?" she yelled as I turned to face her.

Her icy lavender eyes pierced me. Her expression was demanding an answer.

"Why not? I won't be better off at home. Like you said, dad's gonna kill me." I snapped. She looked disgusted.

Her eyes went from me to the dragon then down to my waist. She went wide-eyed. "And what is that?" she pointed at the Obsidian Ender Blade fastened to my pants.

"What does it look like?" I sassed as I fastened my satchel.

"You're bringing that? The Ender family heirloom? You can't do anything right, can you? First you hatch a dragon, then you- Erg! You are such an- Gr!" she growled. She rambled on, speaking in fragments. Eventually she stomped back to the house.

Feeling pretty proud of myself I continued on. I showed her.

I was far from the house now. It was a mere speck from where I stood. The tall grass from the plains hid it very well.

I could see the smoke coming from the chimney, though. The horses were trotting around the stables. Wait. Pitch seems closer...

Pitch teleported closer and closer. I noticed someone on his back. Oh no. Hydrinn must've told mom. Nobody rides Pitch except for mom.

I started walking faster. I looked back to see dull brown hair flowing back instead of silver. Wait, is that?

"Hydrinn! What are you doing?" I asked surprised. "You clearly can't take care of yourself so I'm coming with." she sat up tall.

I felt anger surge through me. "I said I didn't need your help." I growled. My heart started to beat faster, pumping the End Power through my veins. My head started buzzing and I dropped to the ground.

I put my head between my knees and the dragon by my feet. I could tell Hydrinn was smirking at me.

"This just proves that you can't take care of yourself. You can't even control your anger." she chuffed.

I looked up at her with fiery eyes of teal. "There's no way to change your mind." I muttered. She leaned into the saddle. "Not unless you go back and do what's right."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. I hate girls...

I picked up the dragon and held it out to her as I tried to get on the saddle. "Ew! I'm not touching it! It's your responsibility." she tossed her hair.

I putt my foot through the stirrup and set him down on the saddle. I hoisted myself up and grabbed on to him.

"There you go. Nice and cozy, huh?" I cooed. Hydrinn rolled her eyes. "He's already attached to it..." she muttered to herself.

"Can't help it." I shrugged. "You don't care about him because you only care about yourself." I mumbled under my breath. Hydrinn elbowed me in the side. "I'm not deaf, y'know." she growled.

"Yeah but you sure seem like it! You never listen." I announced. "I choose not to listen because I don't want to hear you." she snapped.

That one hurt. That was unacceptable. "Okay! If we're going to be traveling together, then we at least have to get along! Or maybe keep harsh comments to ourselves." I suggested.

Hydrinn sighed. "I don't think I could last that long." I rolled my eyes at her comment. I stuck out my hand. "Please."

She moved it away with her elbow. "Yeah, whatever." she said unenthusiastically. I smiled. It's a start.
