Third Person's POV
"You're alive," Ignis commented.
Blue irises looked towards the speaker, sparkling.
"Why wouldn't I be? Are you hoping for me to die soon?" he chuckled. Considering his status, people who can talk informally towards him are rarely found.
"I thought you died. Out of all the places you could have ventured to, you just had to choose the dangerous ones," Ignis was worried, but he maintained a calm look on his face. He may be known as the coward of the group, but all of them knew that he can be quite scary when he is angry especially when it concerns the people he cared for. The fire in his heart is something that can never be extinguished. He is known as the fire spirit after all.
"Do you want me to douse you with water? The temperature is quite hot," Llousander fanned himself with his hand. Ignis frowned deeper.
"They agreed?"
"Why wouldn't they?" Llousander smirked. "It was a very tempting offer, plus, the pros outweigh the cons. If I had failed, you would have been crying at the sight of my cold, lifeless body,"
Ignis sighed. Llousander is probably one of the people who can joke around at these kind of topics.
"How sure are you that I would be crying at seeing you? Shouldn't I be happy that I can finally live in peace?"
Llousander placed his hand on Ignis' shoulder. "I am sure because you can't live a day without seeing me," Ignis removed Llousander's hand from his shoulder.
Llousander stretched his arms.
"Did anything happen while I was gone?"
"The general wants to see you,"
"I don't want anything from that old man," Llousander frowned. Ever since he was young, he never liked his adopted father. He may have been the one who picked him off the streets but all he could remember from his childhood was the smile of a young lady.
The smile that blew all his worries away.
Ignis wanted to raise the topic about Zackaya but felt that it was time yet. The general has ordered him to bring him Llousander the moment he came back. Plus, those scary eyes had left him a deep impression. He shuddered at the thought of seeing those eyes again.
"What about Zackaya? Did anything happen to her while I was gone?" Ignis mentally sighed at his bright smile. He couldn't tell him that his sister went through a mental breakdown now, could he? Knowing Llousander, he would probably fly towards the Academy or ask permission from the church to use the teleportation spell. Which costs thousands of gold for a one-way trip.
"If you meet the general first, I would allow you to see Zackaya," Llousander looked deep into his eyes.
"Who are you to stop me then?" Llousander grinned, inviting Ignis to a fight.
Ignis mentally counted on his mind. He's already stressed out from Grim's constant reminder about the witches and Caeli's nagging made it worse.
He retrieved his gloves and summoned his staff. Llousander grinned and grab his sword from his hilt.
They readied their stances.
"Fireball," Ignis chanted and summoned a ball of fire heading towards Llousander. Llousander easily sliced the ball into two using his sword.
"That was too weak Ignis. Did you forget to train?" he cockily grinned.
Ignis summoned multiple fireballs headed to Llousander. The position of each made it harder for Llousander to dodge or nullify it.
