Part 14: "Intimacy"

They went to Koro Levu, one of the most visited islands in the world.

In the evening, everyone gathers for dinner at one of the exclusive restaurants nearby. Jumin notices that everyone was there except for Sophie. All the employees seem excited waiting for their meal. In a few minutes, Sophie arrives. Every eye is on her. She was late, and it catches everyone's attention off her eye-catching dress. It surprised Jumin as he knows she dislikes an eye-catching dress and she usually wears modest wear. Besides, she dislikes being the center of attention.

It makes Jumin anxious as every man's eyes were on her. They smile involuntarily as they look at her. He felt uneasy. He acts like a normal gentleman where he stands up and covers her with his jacket. It startled her of his sudden act and everyone also questioned Jumin's act. Everyone knew the real Jumin. He will not act manly to any woman. If he sees a woman falling down he rather let her fall rather than catches her.

"Do they still together? Arent, they broke up?" A whisper echoed into her ears. His act has built up a pile of curiosity among their colleagues. She feels embarrassed. "It's windy here... You might catch flu..." Jumin speaks up as he realizes everyone is looking with curiosity.

After the delicious dinner treat, everyone enjoys themselves at the Fijian ancestral dance ceremony. Sophie refuses to join them and went to the night walk at the beach instead. Jumin notices her absence and is looking for her. He could not find her anywhere at the campsite so he asked Jaehee. "Have you seen Sophie?" He questions his assistant. "She's heading to the beach..." Jaehee answers.

Jumin walks to the beach and in a distance, he spotted Sophie and Kai. He strolls towards them. "Why didn't you join the team?" He asks. It startled them both to hear Jumin's voice.

"Oh, Jumin, I'm going to my room actually, but it such a waste to ignore the beauty of the night. So, here I am... What are you doing here? You're supposed to be with them..." She asks. "I'm worried because I could not find you..." He answers. "It's okay, Kai is here with me... He'll take me to my room" Sophie give him a pure smile. "Take you to your room??" Jumin sounds surprised.

"Yes, his room is next to mine, so don't worry..." She added.

"I guess the three of us are on the same floor... Let's go together then..." Jumin insists to follow them.

They walk to their room. Sophie steps into her room, Jumin and Kai wave her goodbye. After Sophie disappears from their sight, Jumin confronts Kai. He wanted to know the truth. "Do you like her?" Kai looks surprised. "Like her? I love her actually... And I will make her my girlfriend..." Kai provokes him. He sounds as he is teasing him.

"Your girlfriend? Does she love you too? Are guys in a somewhat special relationship?" Jumin curious.

"No... Not yet... But soon..." Kai smirk and left to his room.  "No, he can't...! If she really loves him why don't they form a relationship when they are overseas? Absurd accusation!" It agitates Jumin of Kai's words. He does not feel ease, and he wanted to know the truth from Sophie.

Jumin walks back to Sophie's room. It is surprised her to see him. He does not say a word and just he walks into her room uninvited. He kisses her without a warning. It stunned her of his absurd act. "Did you drink? What are you doing Jumin?" Sophie wonders if he is on his right mind. He does not care to answer and yet continuously kisses her. "Jumin, people would see you here..."  She sounds worried.

"... I want you... Sophie... Did you know how much has I suffered these past years? I'm struggling to forget you, but I can't! I've been thinking and dreaming about you every day that I think I am going crazy!..." He moans in sadness. Jumin is not being himself. He is now turning into a weak man. He sobers up and Sophie soothes him. She was sorry too for leaving without telling him.
