"Hi Addi" Jacob says.

I blushed and then waved to him. It was rumored a couple months back that he has always liked me. But I never believed them. He has always been one of my good friends and if he did like me he would tell me, right? Well in that case i never told him i liked him.

After first period I slowly walked to the gym where I had PE second period. Jacob was also in my second period. He's so athletic. He's a football player and he is so smart. I saw him walking ahead of me so I started to walk faster to catch up with him. Right when I was standing right behind him, Carla, this girl who was rumored that she likes Jacob, ran up to him. She stole my moment.

" Hi Jacob!" She said

" Oh hi Carla," Jacob responded

" I like your flannel," She said desperately finding something to talk about.

" Thanks," Jacob said

After there short conversation we all walked into the gym. Carla was in the same PE period but she wasn't in the same class as me and Jacob. Thank God.

When our teachers dismissed us to get dressed into our PE clothes i tried talking to Jacob.

" Hey Jacob," I said.

" Hi Addi," He responded.

" How was your football game on Saturday?" I asked.

Sometimes I feel like thats all we can talk about.

" It was good. We won 43 to 21," He said confidently.

"Yay!" I said.

Smooth Addi, smooth.

We both went our separate ways to the locker rooms. I got dressed really quickly then chatted with Jacob a little more until we had to get into roll call on the gym floor. Our teacher announced that we would be doing a new unit on football. I glanced at Jacob and he was "celebrating" with his friends. I giggled.

" Go out to the bleachers on the track! Lets go!!" Mr. Tomlinson said.

As we gathered together on the bleachers Mr. Tomlinson told us to pick a team of six or seven for our football team. I knew no one would pick me so I kinda just stood there.

" You need to have at least two girls on your team! " Mr. Tomlinson yelled.

There were six girls left including me. Jacob's team didn't have any girls on there team yet but I doubt he will choose me.

" Addi! " Jacob yelled, " Wanna be on our team?"

I smiled.

"Sure" I said.

The other girl that got picked to be on our team was one of my friends, Hope. She was very quiet but once you get to know her she's really funny.

We walked to the half of the football field where we were playing at and we learned how to throw the ball. I already knew how to do this because I wanted to be on a football team when I was like ten years old but that dream is over. Plus, throwing a football isn't to hard.

This specific football was way larger than my hand so i couldn't really hold it right. Whenever i tried to throw it, it slipped out of my hands. The third time I got the ball, Jacob walked over to see why it was slipping.
