Extra long chapter! Get ready ;)

I slipped the paper out from behind the trash can. I wiped all the nasty spider webs off of the paper and blew on it. It read:

' Sorry I couldn't make it. Meet me after school at FoodStop to find me ;) '

Omg. This person is sending me on a scavenger hunt. Why can't they just say who they are? And why couldn't they make it? Ugh.

It was 7:30 and Nikki had gotten to school. We usually hang out around our first period class.

" Hey Nikki," I said stressed out.

" Yea?" She said.

" theres this person, I don't know who they are but they're like making me go on like a scavenger hunt."

She paused for a moment with a confused look on her face.

" What do you mean?" She asked.

" Like I got a package last night saying to go to the trash can near the gym to find out who he was, and I did, but he wasn't there and all that was there was another note." I told her.

" Do you have the note?" She asked.

" Yea." I said pulling the folded note out of my back pocket.

" Dangit. I was going to tell you if I recognized the handwriting but it's typed." She said examining the paper.

" Are you going to go to FoodStop?" She asked.

" Ugh I guess." I said.

Thats when Claire and Ari arrived. I told them exactly what I told Nikki.

" What the freak." Ari said.

" That's really weird." Claire said.

Then the bell rang. Me and Ari went to first period together while Claire and Nikki went the other way. Justin sat in front of Ari and Jacob sat two desks down from me.

In the middle of class I saw Jacob staring at me. I blushed. A couple minutes later I glanced and he was staring again. Our eyes met and he made kissy faces. I was blushing really hard. I laughed and he smiled.

On our way to PE Jacob met up with me and we started talking about the history homework. Then Carla walks up and pats Jacob on the shoulder.

" Hey guys." She said.

" Oh, hi." I responded.

" Hi." Jacob said.

" What were you two talking about? She asked.

Why does she need to know?

" Nothing." Jacob said.

" Oh" She replied.

At lunch I let Justin and Jacob know what was going on with the notes and stuff.

" Looks like you have a secret admirer." Jacob said teasing.

" Shut up." I told him laughing.

Justin was quiet the whole time. He looked like he was nervous.

" Are you okay?" I asked Justin.

" Huh? Yeah I'm fine." He responded.

Ari looked at me sadly. I was really confused. But I just kept eating my lunch.

I began walking home and then remembered I had to go to FoodStop. I started walking a little faster because I was excited. I got to the FoodStop parking lot and no one was there. I was waiting for about 10 minutes for someone to come. I went inside FoodStop and got a soda.

" Are you the girl?" The cashier asked.

" What?" I responded.

" The girl." He said.

" Uhm. What girl?" I asked.

" A teenage boy brought this letter. He said a girl would be by looking for him." He told me.

" Well I am looking for a boy." I said.

" Here." He said handing me the letter.
The letter said:

' Whoops. Something came up. Tomorrow morning I will be somewhere with a lot of books ;) come find me.'

The library. I can't believe I am gonna follow this guys orders. I do want to know who he is but I wish this guy would just go where he says to. Ugh. I'm gonna be late for the movies with Jacob.
