Chapter 6: A Visit To "The Farm"

After Reggie left last night i grabbed a box and did as Ashton had told me. I puted things that hurted me inside. Some pictures of me and Moose , Some farm shirts , some polaroids of me with Fangs , a rose that fangs gave me and a stuffed bear i got from Moose.

Josie knocked on my door and came inside. "Hey. Are you gonna walk to school or are you coming with me and my mom?" She sat next to me on the bed. "I think Ashton is coming to pick me up." Actually i was not thinking , it was true. He texted me when i woke up.

"Ashton ? Is that the new boy you were at pops with two days ago?" She asked curiously. "How do you know about that ?" I didn't really mention anything about Ashton at home. Not that i was scared or anything but i just want him to be my kind of secret friend you know ? Wow that sounds weird.

"Veronica told me." She looked the other way. "What ? Since when does she think that she has the right to talk about me?" I stood up. Josie stood up too. "Kevin , calm down." I turned around. "I don't want other people to talk about what i do in my life. Especially people that don't like me." I puted my jacket on and grabbed my bag and the box and Stared walking downstairs.

"Who says that Veronica doesn't like you?" Josie run behind me as i was going down the stairs. "Her attitude did." I opened the door and got outside. Aston was in his red old kinda jeep. I walked towards the car. "Good Morning" he smiled from inside the car.

"I have the stuff you told me to bring" i told him. I opened the the door for the backseat and left the box there and then went to sit at the passenger seat. "We are going to that farm thing after school okay ?" He asked me as he started the car. "Okay." I answered shortly. Ashton turned his body towards my direction. "Hey are you okay?" He asked me putting his hand on my shoulder.

"It's just kinda weird i guess." I said and sighed. "What's weird ?" He asked curiously. "Nobody ever gave me a lift for school expect my parents but here you are giving me a ride." I looked straight towards the road. "You don't treat me like other people Ash."

"I always treat my friends like this." Ashton answered. "And you are my friend Kevin." I turned towards him and smiled. "Now , that's way better." He said smiling and he touched my cheek a little. His fingers felt warm even though it was a quarter after eighth in the morning.

The school was still the same. Every morning the same people. Towards the end of the hallway i saw Sweet Pea and some serpents glancing as i walked in. They didn't look that happy for seeing me. "Dont get bothered Kev. Walk as if you are Fire. Don't give anyone attention." Ashton whispered in my ear.

Weirdly his words gave me more confidence. "You look alive." Valerie said as she was standing at my locker. "How can i help you ?" I asked her. "Have you seen Josie ? Or chuck ?" She asked me. "Josie is still at home and i don't know about chuck." I answered. She nodded. "Okay thanks." She said and walked away.

"She looks like she is nervous." Ash said. "Yeah i don't know. We aren't really friends so i can't really read her feelings." I said opening my locker. A boy came towards me and Ashton. "Alejandro" that's all i could understand because the other boy started talking in Spanish.

Ashton nodded and then turned towards me. "I need to go , I'll see you around." He said and walked away with the boy. "Okay i guess."

Ashton's POV

"Do i really have to do it now ?" I signed. He nodded and gave me the book. "Just hide it well okay ?" I nodded and he walked away.
