Chapter 7: We Love You Fred Andrews

You can say that i was confused when i woke up in my bed even though the last thing i remembered from yesterday was being in Ashton's car. We were going somewhere but i don't really remember where.

I get downstairs where my parents were having breakfast. "You finally woke up huh?" My dad asked. "Yeah , can i ask. What time did i come back home ?" I asked as i sat down. "When i picked you up from school darling." Sierra answered me.

"You picked me up from school ?" I asked confused. She nodded and took a sip from her coffee. Why is Ashton the only thing i can remember ? I need to ask him.

"See you guys later" i stood up but my dad stopped me from walking out. "And where do you think you are going ?" He asked me. "To Ashton's. I need to ask him something." My dad stared shaking his head. "Son , Fred his funeral is today. You need to get ready. We are going to Mary's house in a little."

"Oh..." Was all i could say. I had totally forgotten today was the funeral. I guess to many things had been on my mind. I eat some croissants and started getting ready.

I wore a black suit with some black shoes. I looked into the mirror. I feel different today. I feel like everything that hurted me has left my body in some sort of way. I fixed my hair and got downstairs.  When we all were ready we left.

I felt weirdly in my stomach as we started walking inside the house. Mary started talking with my parents and Josie but i decided to see how Archie was doing. He was in his room putting his suit on and everything.

I knocked on the door. "Can i come in ?" I asked. Archie turned around from his Mirror and nodded. I slowly walked inside and stood behind him. "Im sorry for your loss Archie. I've loved your dad since the second i met him. He was great to everyone." I told him.

I could see him smile weakily in the mirror. "Yeah. He was the best." Archie said and sighed. He turned around and faced me. "Thank you for coming Kevin. I didn't think you would." Archie said his eyes looking almost through my soul.

"Why wouldn't i come ?" I asked confused. "Well the way i talked to you some days ago." He said and looked to the ground. "Archie you are ... we were friends. I still care about you even if we aren't friends anymore." I told him and puted my hand on his shoulder.

"Is it too late to turn the we were to we are ?" Archie asked looking back up. I smiled. "Its never too late." Archie managed to smile a little. "Im sorry Kevin for everything. I shouldn't have forgotten about everything you have done for me." He said.

"It's okay." We got inerupted by our parents telling its time to go. Archie sighed and we both got downstairs.

The funeral was over. Most people were leaving the graveyard but i stayed a little until i was alone. Or at least i thought that i was.

My eye fell on Betty walking towards the other side of the grave yard. I couldn't help but follow her. She stopped at a grave that was vandalised. It was her fathers. Some people had sprayed the grave and there were beer bottles thrown around.

I saw how she kneeled down and cleaned it a little bit while a tear fell from her eye.

"Are you okay ?" I asked as i walked closer. Betty immediately stood up and turned around. "Why do you care ? Leave !" Betty said. "I was just trying-"

"LEAVE!" She yelled towards me. I turned around and run away from that grave.

When i got away from Betty's sight i stopped to take a breath. My eye fell on the shadow i saw disappearing behind a grave not so far away.

"Hello?" I said walking closer to the grave. My heart started beating faster. What if it was a zombie ? Or even worse some scary gay eating creature. I jumped when i felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw this boy.

"What is a boy like you doing alone at such a place?" He asked me. I looked into his eyes. I know i have seen him before but i just can't remeber where. "Do i know you?" I aksed. My heart was still beating fast and in someway it felt like he knew that too.

"Oh i know you, you just don't know me. And its better if it stays that way." The other boy said. "You shouldn't wander alone, you never know what could happen."

"Not like anyone cares." I said. "What's your problem anyway?" He just laughed and started walking away. I just started towards him till he disappeared. I sighed and got away from here.

Everyone was gathered at Archie's house after the funeral and Cheryl had planned a little firework show. Me and Josie were siting together looking towards the fireworks.

When the firework show was over everyone started talking with each other. I went and sat in the corner as i didn't really had anything to say. "Hey dude." Reggie said and sat next to me. "Why aren't you with the others?" I asked looking towards him. He started smirking. "They are boring." He simply said and ate some chips. I chuckled a little.

"So, i met this boy at school." Reggie started. "And let just say that we got along very well." He ate some more chips. "Oh my god Reggie ! Did you guys go on a date?" I aksed curious. "Not really , we basically had sex in the schools locker room." Reggie answered.

"Man thats gross." I said and i started laughing. "Come on Kevin , don't act like you would never do something like that." Reggie laughed too. I took some of his chips. "Well you have a point but even if ill ever do that you will never know that." I said smirking. "I'll find a way don't worry"

I rolled my eyes playfully and kept eating. "So what about you and the new kid? Have you guys kissed yet?" Reggie asked and i almost chocked on the chips i was eating. "We are just friends Reggie and i don't even think he is gay." I said and drank some water.

"Well he is definitely not straight Kevin. He only talks to you at school. That must mean something." Reggie said."Yeah that we are friends Reggie. Gay boys can be friends with other boys." I said and looked towards Archie who was talking with Veronica.

"You will remember my words Kevin when you are in his bed." Reggie said and walked away. I puted a middle finger in the air which made the others look at my direction but i ignored that.

Cheryl's Pov

Me and Toni turned towards Kevin and Reggie. I started laughing when i saw Kevin doing a middle finger to Reggie. My phone vibrated. I looked and saw a text from Mr. Keller.

She arrived just like you planned. You should bring Kevin home now.

Text to Tom Keller
Consider it done !

I sended the text and walked over to Kevin. "Its time to go home Kevin" i smiled. Kevin nodded and followed me towards my car. It took us ten minutes to arrives at the Keller's house.

I greeted Kevin and drove away.

Kevin's Pov

I looked over my shoulder before i unlocked the front door. I dont know why but i felt like someone was watching me. I pushed those thoughts away and just opened the door.

It was awfully quiet at home. Is everyone alseep already? I was about to go upstairs when i saw a figure with the corner of my eye standing in the living room.

I turned around and couldn't believe my eyes. "D-Denise ?"

"Hello brother."
