Mitch's POV:
It's done. It's over! I can't stand it anymore! Running through the forest, I search for the abandoned house I visited not too long ago. Adam and Ty are already long gone. They moved into Ty's new apartment, and for good reason.
For the past week, Jerome has been beating everyone and everything in the house up. Including me. These past few days, I don't even know him anymore. I can't stand seeing those red eyes in the morning, that evil sadistic grin that he gives me when he's about to beat me up. He promised to protect me, that he would never let me be hurt again. That was a long time ago, when I was still cutting. Well, those statements didn't get far.
Finally, I trip over a tree root and I collapse into the grass. My legs are sore and my vision is blurry from upcoming tears. Rolling over, I stare at the grey sky. Looks like its about to rain, hard. Barely any sunlight.
Wonder if Jerome's gonna hunt me down. How did we go from being best friends, unseperable, to him beating me up? Well, life is definitely fucked up these days. I'm so tired... I can barely feel someone lifting me up and holding me in their arms. I drift off to the feeling of wind to the side of my face.
I wake up in a dark room. I'm on a nice bed, with pillows and everything. A boom of thunder scares me and I yelp. Didn't notice it was raining, no scratch that, POURING, outside. Walking downstairs, I instantly recognize where I am. I'm here. The place I was looking for.
Sure enough, I can hear the radio playing in another room. When I peek in I see the pale skinned, brown eyed boy lounging on the couch. He smiles when he sees me and gestures for me to sit down. When I do, I see his eyes start to go red but they don't. The color is suspended in between.
"Like to explain what you were doing lying out there?"
"I was looking for this place."
He laughs so hard he almost falls off the couch. Believe it or not, his laugh is adorable. I can't help but chuckle lightly at the sight of him.
"You sure didn't look like it!"
"Hey! I fell down okay!"
Laughing, he looks me in the eyes and his face turns serious again.
"Why were you coming here in the first place?"
"Jerome's been beating me up lately... And I wanted to go somewhere he wouldn't think to look."
"He what?!"
Oh damn, I probably shouldn't have told him that.
"Are you okay?!"
"Of course I am! Its fine."
At that, he eases up a little and gives me a side hug. It feels nice, like you know when you feel safe with someone kind of feel. I felt like no one could hurt me here, with him. Turning, I look him right in the eyes while he's hugging me. Our faces are literally inches apart.
Without thinking, I just press my lips to his. He immediately kisses back. Even if it lasted about 5 seconds, I loved every second of it. When we pull away, he gives me a shy grin. Cuddling next to me, he just absently listens to the radio smiling to himself. God, I hope this never ends.
Jakes POV:
As much as I want to believe it meant something, I know it doesn't. He's just going through a withdrawal, a instant one at that. Next thing you know, he will wake up the next morning thinking, 'why did I do that?' That's how it always goes. Don't get fooled again Jake. It only ends in heartbreak.
Smiling to myself I assure myself that I won't go soft again. I won't let anyone worm their way back into my patched up heart. Although I don't admit it to Mitch, I have more powers than he knows. Around my 1000th year I got the power of shape shifting. Around 2000 not too long ago, I got the power to read minds.
Not directly what they're thinking no, just how they feel at the moment. I need to exercise this power more to be able to read minds directly. Focusing on Mitch I can see his emotion is confused. Flickering between happiness and sadness. Taking a brief glance at his face I see he has something like a poker face expression. Sitting up, I look him in the eyes.
"Why don't we play video games?"
"Sure."
Grabbing his hand I bring him to my room and plop down on the bed.
"So what you want to play?"
"Don't know."
"Fine, then I'll choose."
Giving him my laptop I go onto my computer. Opening up Minecraft I see he's already logged in as himself. As soon as we go into survival games he gets bombarded with questions of what happened, and why he hasn't been posting in forever. Surprisingly, Mitch didn't respond, he just played.
-15 minutes later-
"I won the hunger deens!"
Laughing we both log off. Getting up, I sit next to him on the bed. He looks at me with a sad expression.
"What's wrong?"
"I think I need to make a video for my fans... To tell them I'm okay."
"I got a camera on me, want to do it now?"
"Sure."
Heading down the thousands of steps in this house we finally reach the room. Setting up a tripod, chair, and stuff he sits in front of the camera. I hit the record button on the count of 3.
"Hey guys, its Mitch, or BajanCanadian and here's an update vlog to tell you where I've been..."
Adams POV:
Tears trickle down my face but I can't wipe them. My love is beaten to unconsciousness right in front of my eyes, but I can't run to help him. For a fact, I can't move my arms or my legs at all. Every day I wish that someone will find out that we didn't just move out on our own. That someone will come and search for us.
Did anyone not notice the screams coming from the freaking basement at night? Geez, I mean I think I would in the dead of night. Ty groans in pain as he wakes up from his unconsciousness. I swear that if we ever get out, I will kill that monster, friend or not. After a couple of seconds tears fall from Ty's eyes as he stares helplessly at me. I'm just as beaten up as he is. At least he slipped away into blissful sleep.
Suddenly, the door flies open and in a second that monster is next to Ty.
"NO!" I scream.
He snarls at me and yanks Ty's head to the side roughly. Ty starts to sob as that monster inches closer and closer to his neck.
"Don't hurt him! Hurt me! Just don't hurt him please!"
All the monster does is look straight at me and says:
"I know it'll hurt more to hurt him."
Then he sinks his teeth into Ty's neck. He cringes but he can't move. I watch as he slowly gets paler and paler, and just when he looks to the brink of death he unlatches from him. Ty just collapses and lays still like a corpse on the floor. Then the monster walks to me and crouches in front of me to become level to my face. Oh yeah, did I mention both me and Ty are tied to chairs? Well, Ty isn't anymore...
"Sweet dreams, Adam."
Then it's gone. He's gone. No wait, he's been gone since Day 1. I don't know him anymore. Hopefully Ty will be okay. He has to get better. I can't imagine life without him, his cute little smile, the soft hair that tickles my neck when he sleeps next to me, his dark beautiful red eyes that can hold mine for infinite amounts of time. If he dies, I swear I will lose all will to live.
Oh Mitch... I hope you're okay. Heard he just booked it. Grabbed his phone and some clothes and made a run for it. Left a note saying:
"Biggums, I'm gonna go. I love you, but I can't stand you anymore. When you have a change of heart, come and find me. ~Mitch"
He better hide somewhere really good cause Jerome's been searching for him day and night when he's not here torturing us. A couple days ago I heard him say something about searching the nearby woods. I smirk even if it hurts my face. As far as I know, Jerome has not had a change of heart and he's still looking for him. Love is weird.
